We were very appreciative of being able to check in a little early. However, the check-in instructions and information could have been much clearer.
We rented the full 3-bedroom house, but each bedroom had a digital lock requiring a code. We were not given all of the codes initially and had to ask for them, then follow up again for the third room. I found this concerning from a safety/fire-safety standpoint, as the codes must be entered every time and one door was especially difficult and time-consuming to open. In an emergency, this could be a serious concern.
For families with young children, I would also recommend a higher childproof lock on the exterior door. The home is on a busy street, so additional childproofing would provide more peace of mind.
The home is nicely updated, but the layout was unusual for families. The TV was in the kitchen rather than the living room, which wasn't ideal with small children. There was also noticeable dust around some areas near the couches and fireplace.
It also appeared someone was working or possibly staying underneath the home, and some areas/rooms were locked or blocked off, including access toward the backyard. There was no washer/dryer available.
Overall, this home would probably be better suited for adults or families with older children. It has a lot of potential, but clearer communication, improved childproofing, easier room access, and better housekeeping would make the stay much more comfortable.
