We had a fantastic day at this charming 1874 lumber Baron home. Each room has its own unique character, full of warmth and historic charm. The owner was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. You could truly see the prize. She takes in her home as she walks us through insurance story. Breakfast was an absolute highlight With a variety of fresh homemade options. One morning, even featured eggs from her own chickens, which made extra special. The locationâs ideal just a short walk to downtown and only minutes from beautiful beaches. Thank you for walking us into your wonderful home. We canât wait to come back.
Had a very comfortable, private and low key enjoyable stay in this old lumber baron house that has partial and ongoing renovation. Unfortunately, I now see that it is no longer accepting reservations on vrbo. While I was there, the manager said that she had had a surprise visit that day from some people who were moving to Manistee who seriously wanted to buy this house that she has spent a lot of time and effort renovating in the few years since it was a group home. These people were serious and had already enrolled their child in the school next door. I wonder but assume that the reason she is no longer accepting reservations is that maybe they made an offer and she accepted! Darn!
We had a great time in Manistee! The house was beautiful - we especially loved drinking coffee on the large porch and relaxing there at night before going to bed (and petting the adorable cats). It was super close to downtown as well which made it convenient. The food/coffee in the morning was delicious. And the host was incredibly nice & welcoming! We definitely recommend this place if youâre traveling to manistee.
