I needed a sleep-thatâs all. The price was right, the room/bathroom were spotless and the bed was so comfortable! It was quite a warm day when I arrived so I turned on the air conditioner which was a lovely white noise covering up highway traffic. I will definitely be staying here again!
Pals is the closest Motel to the Airport and just a couple blocks from the Trans Canada Highway.
Prices are normal for the times we are living in.
Staff is friendly and quick to answer oneâs requests.
It's much better than it's outside appearance would suggest. Very friendly check in and basic, but clean room. I had no issues with the place and will likely stay there again next time I'm in Medicine Hat. Bring your own shampoo though, there was no little bottle in the room.
Needs a good updating but was fairly clean checked beds and no stains or bugs in our room I would stay again in a pinch

The staff (owner) was great. A very nice man. The room was OK. It was inexpensive, clean, we had a good sleep. I will stay there again. It's budget, but you don't regret it. Great way to save some cash if you need a place to sleep.
Pretty shady area of town, when booking in the office smelled like animal urine. I told my family if the room smelled we were getting something else!
Will never return there

bathroom and bed blanket must be changed however every step was so friendly
Check in was easy and great. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean and basic. Great value. The only downside was the noisy highway nearby with the loud traffic noises through the night.

Just avoid altogether. You can find a better place for the same money
After many years of business travel staying at Sheraton and Westin hotels, I was dismayed to find that all the "decent" hotels in Medicine Hat were fully booked at the time of my visit. Reluctantly, I booked at Pal's Motel. How good could a small motel with the name "Pal's" possibly be?
As it turns out, pretty good. For sure it isn't a 4-star hotel, but my room was spotless and well equipped. Newer fridge and microwave, in-room coffee and a flat screen TV with a great selection of channels. The premises have been recently - and tastefully - renovated so the paintwork was fresh, the carpet and drapes were new and the new metal door to my room was equipped with modern hardware that make me feel secure. The air conditioner worked well, and wasn't loud enough to keep me awake at night.
I spent 2 nights at Pal's, and found myself thinking, why would I pay much more to stay at one of the larger hotels when I am comfortable and secure here?
