The Stables is located on a lovely quiet, country lane in a quiet village, but this is ideal for a good de-stress. In the cooler times of year it's wise to plan meals, shopping etc, as townies like me get too used to just popping out, and that could be a chore. The Stables is gorgeous, compact and cosy, and very well appointed. The bed and bedroom was comfy and we slept very well, and there was plenty of storage for a week stay. The shower is an over bath type, with a great rainforest shower. Kitchen -great appliances including dishwasher - just make sure that you read the guides- and it was well appointed with pots, pans, and nice sharp knives. I would have liked more cutting boards, and I felt bad that there wasn't a vent to prevent my cooking smells impregnating this lovely cottage!I was going to round off by saying "The clincher was..." but there were several... extremely dog friendlyâ¤ï¸, comfortable sofa, great log burner, great hosts, perfect welcome pack to name ones that come to mind.
