This house is lovely and in a lovely area. The person managing our stay was very responsive and lovely. However, there were a few problems with the house. The main problem is that is smelled like sewage. When we complained, they brought in new drain covers that we were supposed to put on and take off the shower drain to minimize the smell, it helped a little but certainly didn’t eliminate it, Further, I don’t think it’s our responsibility to take covers on and off drains to minimize the smell. They could just fix the plumbing. Finally, although we tried leaving the windows open to get rid of the smell, it was freezing, the house doesn’t have central heating so it was a miserable situation. We also had some problems with the front gate. We couldn’t reliably unlock it. Although that seemed to get better over our stay, we didn’t feel safe locking the gate and just didn’t use it, Finally, one of the faucets in the kitchen didn’t work. We didn’t discover that until the end when we washed the dishes so it didn’t bother us too much, but it was broken, All in all, great house in a great area. But a few problems that really hindered our enjoyment of the house. We asked for a 30% refund for the shell mainly. They texted on WhatsApp that they’d do the refund in exchange for a positive review. They then ghosted us.
