« Property is a nightmare. Plumbing is a know issue throughout the house. Jugs of drinking water are provided. It has too much furniture to move around. Closets and drawers are so full there is nowhere to put your stuff. It sits 30 feet off the main highway and that is not clear in the pictures. Plumbing was so bad, management had to move us after the first night off the mountain, 20 minutes into Salida. Management did work hard to make it right, but the property is not recommended. »

« I've been repeatedly impressed by the number of repeat guests at the Browns Canyon. It is certainly as clean and comfortable as the higher dollar quality chains - but offers much more of a unique experience. Every room is a bit different, with hand painted scenes and hand cut trim, each one unique. The theme continues all around the property, at the edges of the parking lot; or out around the grill and hot tub, with whimsical ideas too numerous to mention, simply an extension of the owner's...
