Un stop à Monteverde
Nous avons passé deux nuit dans cet hôtel. Très joli, bien situé , chambres modernes avec une belle salle de bain et balcon , literie confortable. Petit déjeuner bien mais si vous ne demandez pas on ne vous propose que la carte ( pas des fruits, pas de jus de fruits - qui sont compris ) . Pas de libre service pour le café - un peu gênant car on est obligé d’appeler qqn tout le temps..

Nous avons eu un gros problème sur notre véhicule qui a du être changé en pleine nuit. Le personnel de l'hôtel nous a attendu alors que nous arrivions tard.

José gave us a warm welcome at our arrival, offering us a tea and a coffee. He also gave us a lot of information about the area and the possible activities. The room is a bit dark but confortable and big enough. The hotel is located at a 5min walking distance from the center of santa elena

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!! Talk about a very pleasant surprise or something being grossly underrated. This is an outstanding hotel. The pictures on Expedia and the word “Lodge” in the name don’t do just to the quality of accommodation and the service level. The decor and the ambience - in the common areas and in the room set this hotel apart. Looks like the property has been completely renovated recently - everything felt very new. We had an issue during our stay but they took care of it very quickly.

Even though hotel itself is reasonably good, surrounding area is not that good. Breakfast does not have much choices. We were 3 families who traveled together. For one of the families, they charged for 3 nights even though we all stayed only for 2 nights. They refused to refund the extra night charge to that 1 family. So, people should be careful with their billing charges.

Better than expected. Great room good size and all facilities but mattress very old and creaky as breakfast service let it down. Remember all yours cash only and nearby cash points didn’t work for us and hotel unable to give cash back.

Emilio at the front desk was very helpful. I did not get the name of the morning waitress at the restaurant, but she is definitely bringing a good and cheerful vibe to your morning even if you are in a hurry. Very comfortable beds and settings. We would recommend this place.

This is SUCH a beautiful property. I stayed here as a solo female traveler and I was absolutely in love with my room! It was so spacious, and the property itself is so well maintained and has such a gorgeous ambiance. It’s in a really great location in Monteverde, and I felt safe the entire time I was here. All the staff had phenomenal customer service and went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed myself. The food was always excellent, too! My only gripe was that the drinks didn’t seem to be strong enough (meaning it never felt like there was any alcohol, even when I ordered the alcoholic drinks) but I still enjoyed everything I had. If I ever travel back to Costa Rica, I will for sure be staying here again. I love Sibū Lodge!

Overall everything was great. The only problem was the restaurant. They forgot part of my dinner order and they lost our breakfast order, so it took us 45 minutes to reorder and get served.

Beautiful modern stay
Sibu was a wonderful place to stay while in Monte Verde. The hotel employees are very helpful, offering a map of the main town, and the place is wonderfully modern and clean, with beautiful decor. Our only complaint was that our room was off the main courtyard and one of the walls was a window so we woke up to other guests talking outside very early. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and appreciated the modern accommodations and beautiful layout

The door to our room doesn’t seal so ambient noise is an issue. There are zero hooks for hanging a coat in the room. Also we were below the sun deck and people dragging metal chais on the deck above is VERY loud. Put up a sign. Other than those easy fixes you’ve got a great place! Justin was our bartender and an absolute delight. Hold on to him.

Okay.. can be better for the price!
The stay here was okay. Rooms are a bit cramped, with hardly any space to move around or keep luggage. Beds are a little saggy with poor support . And when it’s windy, the cold air seeps into the room, rattling the doors all night. Breakfast is average. You have to pre order one day before. Coffee is lukewarm and tasteless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is clean and the bathrooms looked newly remodeled.

Room is clean, bed quality is nice and comfortable. We are served with breakfast that we can choose a day before. The staffs were helpful, and very nice to us. Wifi is available in all lodge area, which is nice.

It was a pretty okay stay, everything was clean and neat, but it just has a mild feel of a "motel" instead of a hotel. The room has a bit of a cramped feel, and the walls were not so sound-proof; we did hear some noise from a neighboring room at night from a loud TV/music. But otherwise it was definitely clean, and we had what we needed. Definitely fine for a 1-night stay, or more if you are not particular.

Les points forts : Propreté, personnel et service, infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
The communication is excellent even before you arrive. The staff were amazing especially the guy at the front desk who did everything to accommodate us! It’s immaculate and the breakfast is delicious and beyond filling. We would definitely stay again if we ever come back to Monteverde.
