« For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location. »

« Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out. Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people. Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast. Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...

« The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

« Absolutely superb in every way. Beautiful hotel. Cannot fault anything including every single member of staff who made our stay truly magical. The food and wine in the restaurant was outstanding as were the staff who were fantastic and so knowledgeable. I'd award 10 out of 10 everytime. »
