Sehr schönes Hotel. Unser Zimmer war modern, freundlich und sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, rund um die Uhr für alle Wünsche offen. Frühstück sehr lecker! Kurzer Fußweg zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, zu Bahn oder Bus wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder!

Das Hotel ist ein bischen in die Jahre gekommen. Die Betten sind viel zu klein, ab 190 cm schauen die Füße über das Bett hinaus.

Hotel was very clean and nice other than the water pressure and shower head was broken. The surrounding area was kind of sketchy and the locals did not take well to Americans. Other than that staff was great and hotel was fine for a quick stay.

I paid extra for half board and was told there’s no half board and breakfast was really nice. Bathroom has mould around the ceiling and bed wasn’t comfy to sleep in, I’ve got refunded for half board option. Won’t be back to hotel

I had a very large room on the top floor. There were 2 small sofas in the room which added to the comfort. The shower cubicle was compact but functional. Breakfast was ample with orange juice , cereal, porridge, toast and a cooked breakfast with tea or coffee on offer. I would definitely recommend The Bentley and will stay here again next time I’m in the area.

Comfortable bed but when booking months in advance i asked fir a lower floor as I have had knee replacements, when checking in i was put on the 3rd floor and no lifts. Water took 10 mins of running the sink before the shower would get warm and the pressure was so low it was like washing under a drip !!

Had to wait for staff to book in, not available on arrival. Room very basic and bathroom was absolutely filthy, have photo to show this. Heating on constantly and not able to open window. No toiletries eg shower gel shampoo etc. Not that you would want to use it in that bath. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

One room we had no heating the other room we had no hot water mould in the shower cubicle, rooms were clean although one bin had not been emptied. Breakfast was a little underwhelming.will not be going back to the Bentley sadly lovely building but in need of some tlc

I will not be returning
This property has gone downhill since my last stay. It is adequate and no more! Rooms are ok but rough around the edges. There is never any staff available when you book in and have to go searching the hotel to book in. They now do not do a cooked breakfast, just continental. There is no meat or cheese choices you get a choice of toast pastry cereal tea coffee. No choice of preserves or brown or white toast offered. I don’t think many people had breakfast. You also have to be up early 7-830 is breakfast which is crazy.

This place needs a several million pound refurb or it needs to close. Mold I’m the showers, broken sink, burst pillows, holes in walls. The area around the hotel is dingy, dirty and questionably safe.

Stayed here for 3 nights, every time came in the room, stank of stale smoke, it was disgusting. Had to open the window even when it was Storm Joycelyn was ongoing, to get some fresh air. The wind was howling through the closed windows and whistling all night. Shower head was old and only 3 drips of water coming out of it. Tv didn’t work and the wifi signal was horrendous.

Disappointed
Immediately upon arrival I found the receptionist to be rude. There was no welcome greeting or small talk, and she even said to me when she heard someone come in the door she thought it was her colleague to take over so she could go home! I was not taken up to my room either, I had to find my own way. The room appeared in good condition and clean at first glance, but as I got settled in I began noticing things. There were sections of the floor that looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed, the picture frames on the wall were squint, near the window the ceiling looked damp and the layers were peeling apart, the walls were full of chips and the paint was marked all over. The toilet and sink were okay, but the shower was grim. The grouting and sealant were sloppy, and the ceiling above the shower was black with mould. It was also the tiniest shower head I’ve ever seen, the water didn’t even come out properly, and the temperature control didn’t work; it was either far too hot or freezing cold. I would stay again in a pinch if I had little other choice, but best avoided until they get the basics right

This is a strange one. One one hand, the hotel was in a great location and was clean and good value. Car parking on site was fine and it was easy enough to find. However, there are issues. Firstly, we arrived at 16:00 which, we believed, to be a normal check-in time especially as the hotel advertises a 24/7 desk. Well, this wasn't the case when we arrived as there was nobody around. And I do mean nobody. We waited a few minutes and just had silence. We rang the Ring doorbell which normally triggers someone's mobile phone and nothing. We waited a few more minutes and rang again - nothing. We called the phone number and listened to it ring and ring and ring. After around 10 minutes we were about to leave and request a refund due when my wife decided to have one last look around and at the very back of the hotel through a few doors, she found someone who came through and took 30 minutes to check us in (with no apology for the wait I should add). Our room was large and clean. Unfortunately it was on the third floor with lots of stairs so anyone with any mobility issues should request a lower floor. Whilst the room was large and clean, it would appear that the bathroom had a direct temperature link to the bowels of the sun. I had a 'visit the facilities' rather quickly after our check-in wait and it is the first time I have ever left a bathroom with swear pouring off me due to the heat. Will not stay here again!
Terrible experience we got to the hotel and was told the restaurant was closed no food at all available. Room very tired and dated, one of the worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel (no cooked option) just ‘packet’ pastries. Not even porridge in Scotland !

A below average stay - Would not recommend.
Had an OK or I would say, a below average stay there. We had booked two rooms. Ours was in an absolute chaos. We had no hot water and the heater was not working properly. Upon complaining, the housekeeping did not arrive until next night to get that fixed. The shower was too slow to even have your hands washed properly. All in all, the room was OK but far from comfortable. On a cold December night, one expects a room to at least be warm and have some hot water running.

Lovely helpful and very friendly staff as always. Breakfast still as good as we always get. Some TLC would improve the overall impression but we cannot fault the staff for doing the best they can with what they have. Thank you all again. Fantastic value for money.
