Cabanes à Mt. Hood - Gorge du Columbia

« We had a fantastic stay and will totally come back! I don’t know how often the host comes to these properties for upkeep. I would want someone to mention these to me if I was the owner. A few things I wanted to mention are minimal but could be important imo to keep the appearance and general upkeep. There were lots of spiders at the front door and the white posts out front look like they could use a good pressure wash. The rubber around the outside shower needs cleaning and the bedding...

« Beautiful and thoughtful cabin. Very clean and well kept. If you like to cook, bring cooking supplies. Traffic noise is very minimal and did not impact our stay. Definitely recommend! »

« Such a sweet and cozy cabin! Rustic feeling with the Sandy River close by (for those who enjoy a riverine soundtrack), but with some luxuries that mean you are definitely not roughing it. The barrel sauna was perfect on a rainy day. Good hiking is nearby. The cabin was very well-outfitted for cooking, but there are places near enough in either direction on 26 if you don't want to cook. »

« Very comfortable and clean new cabin. Woke up to a huge herd of elk one morning. Deer and fawn the next. Please note I expected a creek. There is NO creek or even trace of while we were there in July/August. »

« My wife and I stayed here on my 42nd birthday, it was so cozy, sitting in the rocking chairs in front of the wood stove was so relaxing and satisfying, we also downloaded music and some creepy pasta stories to our phones and used the Bluetooth on the record player. At the actual cabin the cell service switch’s from 1 bar to SOS, but if you absolutely need to do something cell phone related then you can get service about 4 minutes down the road in the Thriftway parking lot. « This place earns its name as the "woodsy dream cabin." I am a sucker for a cozy cabin and this one is up at the top of my list of favorite stays. The property itself was actually dreamy, no joke (sitting in the hot tub in the rain, surrounded by mossy green Oregon forest--sigh). The host definitely spent some time thinking about what guests would want or need during their visit. Games, music, firewood, plenty of blankets, good wifi, and even dog bowls. « I stayed for 2 nights with my boyfriend for our own little early Christmas celebration and it was perfect for our needs. It was cold the first night we were there so make sure to bring an extra blanket from home. I was surprised by how much cookware was available to us and was able to make meals that you could easily make at home. I do recommend going to your local grocery stores or any in the area before you get here to get your pantry staples as there are only salt, pepper, powdered creamer...
