We stayed at Inlet View House from 3/19–3/23 & it ended up being such a meaningful place for our family during a very difficult time.After receiving a terminal diagnosis for my father on 3/12, we wanted to bring him to the coast so he could enjoy the marsh, watch the tide roll in and out of Murrells Inlet, & eat plenty of fresh seafood. This home gave us exactly that opportunity.Dimitri with Garden City Realty was a wonderful host—responsive, kind, & easy to work with throughout our stay.The home itself is beautiful & well thought out. The kitchen is very well appointed, which made meals easy & the master suite on the top floor was especially peaceful & relaxing. The views of the marsh are truly special—my dad spent hours simply watching the water & wildlife, which meant more to us than I can put into words.For anyone considering mobility needs, there are two flights of stairs to access the main floor & a two step down to the living room/front porch. We brought in a shower chair (which we left behind for future guests) & there are handrails throughout the home that were very helpful.A few unexpected highlights: the water pressure is excellent, & the gas water heater made a noticeable difference—both much appreciated. The property is also pet-friendly & while we didn’t bring our dogs, the grass is phenomenal & would be perfect for them or for simply relaxing outside.This home gave our family a peaceful, beautiful place to spend time together when it mattered most.
