The stay was wonderful. Alex and Brett were amazing and answered all of our questions promptly. Some of the nicest people ever. The property was exactly as advertised. You could taste the salt from the deck thatâs how close we were. Overall we loved it and already rebooked!
We had a great time at the house. It does need some work on the inside, but the outside is so beautiful and the space is great. We love having our dog with us too because he is part of our family. Iâm hoping that we can book for next year, thank you for being so helpful
I loved staying here! The view from inside the house and on the front porch were breathtaking! It almost seemed as if we were on a boat when looking out of the front windows. It was so nice to have the front porch to sit on or under on the beach to stay out of the sun. It was like a huge tent that didnât have to be put up! I believe that it is the closest house to the ocean South of The Outer Banks Pier. Overall it was a wonderful experience!
The location of the house is perfect, right on gorgeous beach which is exactly what I was looking for.
The beach is clean and was so quite this time a year (April)
long walks with my dogs and not far from anything in town. Pure bliss!
Thank you for sharing your house.
Wonât be back!!
The view was amazing, but that is where it ended. Upon arriving, we found the hot tub to be unplugged, even though we asked about it the previous day. No worries, things happen. We contacted the host, was very kind⊠at first! We were told that she would send over a maintenance man over in about an hour. We returned back to the house 4/5 hours later to find the hot tub still not working, no word from the host and upon trying to take a shower, we had no hot water in the whole house.Reaching out again we received no answer, so we had to contact Vrbo. Thankfully they connected us. The host was not very compassionate at this point and we ended up with no hot water for that evening. With check-out being the next morning. I reached out the next morning again and later the next day..we still have not received a response. Not a great ending to our birthday getaway. Very disappointed. This place has amazing potential.. sadly, but would not recommend.
My husband and I spent the weekend on this property and it was truly the most relaxing weekend weâve had in a long time. If you want a true beach house, this is the spot. It was a cold and rainy weekend, but watching and listening to the wind and waves from inside was heavenly. The place was clean and nice. The only negative was the unavailability of the outdoor amenities; the fire pit didnât have a propane tank and the hot tub didnât have a filter, so we didnât get to utilize those - but it could also be that we rented in the off-season. Overall, we would DEFINITELY stay again!
We went to the OBX to host a memorial for my mother who passed in November 2024 (hosted at a local park). Overall the location of this house is perfect. Itâs located in a convenient spot to the entire obx strip and you cannot get closer to the ocean without actually being in the ocean.
What I missed were the essentials that are normally included: dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, lamps. You had to use only overhead lighting in every room which gets old quickly. We also couldnât locate the outside light switch (or the bulbs were burnt out). The only light that would work is the one by the front door. When you pull up thereâs a huge sand dune, which is expected due to the location, just not really mentioned in the listing. Those with unsteady gaits or other difficulties in ambulation will struggle. The house was super clean which was nice and there were a ton of family activities which would be nice if needed.
It looks like work will be done to the house (warped walls and doors, leaky plumbing, etc) but itâs nothing you wouldnât expect from a property so close to the ocean.
Overall, we would stay there again if the price were cheaper. $300-$500/night in the current shape and amenity is pretty steep for the value you get, other than the absolutely gorgeous view of the beach.
The location and beach are excellent. House needs repairs and lacking decent kitchen supplies. Current exterior photo on VRBO is old. Driveway not accessible by car...it's covered with sand dune. Too deep for Jeep 4x4...very difficult for walking from 100+ feet away. Had to vacate 2 days early because of Ophelia storm. No returned calls from owners on partial refund. Disappointed.
Closest house to the beach. Great beach and view from balcony. Pier is within walking distance. Watch the dolphins swim by or hunt for sea shells. Close to shopping and restaurants.
