Excellent place to cut the road in two between Victoria and Tofino. Clean, kind people, nice balcony on the Lake. Need to know that they do not offer breakfast.
Very calm place next to a lake with beautiful scenery. However weâve not been informed upfront that the restaurant at the hotel was closed during our stay. Room pleasant. Staff on arrival / departure disappointing but helpful young girl in the morning which made possible for us to access the deck for having some breakfast from nearby coffee shop.
De kamer is opgeknapt. Die is best netjes. Het hotel is verder echt aan een opknap beurt toe. En de steiger ziet eruit alsof hij elk moment kan instorten. Beetje jammer.
I arrived at 3 pm. 1 person at the front desk for 2 hours, and I never saw another soul the rest of my 2 night stay. I booked this property exclusively due to it being about 15 minutes from town, but having a restaurant and patio with a beautiful lake view. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed Sun, Mon and Tues in the middle of summer!!! Peak season!!! I didn't learn of this until I arrived, and everything else in town was booked. I'm very disappointed and being a traveling rep, who travels constantly, I've never seen anything quite like this in over 30 years of work related travel, and I can say unequivocally, I will never go back to this hotel. No front desk staff, no restaurant, and no discounts for the inconvenience.
The price Monday to Wednesday should be reduced as there is no staff or restaurant available. You are expected to drive into port alberni for dinner etc or have your own dinner supplies yet no plates napkins table cutlery for this is available. A four star resort that offers nothing not even hand soap or bottled water. Only one packet of coffee. Thursday to Sunday the restaurant is open at 5:00. The wasps were insane and you could see the wasp catchers hadnât been filled with fluid for ages so you could not eat outside. The staff at the restaurant were however excellent. Since the convenience store closed at 5 next door they were busy with people hopefully for ice cream etc. The wine selection was limited and you can feel they are doing the best they can with the limited resources whomever is in charge gives them. The outside patio could use a small table and a shade umbrella. The inside should have a table. There is a microwave in the main reception but not in the room. The cafe across the road is good for breakfast and snack but not for dinner since there are no cooking facilities at the hotel save for a communal microwave.
The room was beautiful and the view great but this is not a resort in any sense of the word.
There is no hot tub pool or sauna. Not even a bathtub. No lotion or hand soap provided. No bathrobes until we asked in day two. Even the coffee filters didnât fit the machine.
Attention to detail is all thatâs needed. Please.
Location was very nice & it was on the water. The lady at the desk didnât see the importance of having a grab bar and a bath mat in the tub. Itâs an accident waiting to happen.
