Positioned close to the beach and the railway station, the location appeared to be very good but with a room on top of a very busy road and roundabout, the noise didn't let up. Why was I put in a room on the noisy side of the hotel overlooking the road when the hotel was empty literally.
What really makes this a two-star though even for its bargain price is the fact that they lock the hotel up at 1:00 a.m. and then do not reopen it until 8:30 a.m. I wanted to go out for breakfast but was trapped in the hotel. At 8:30 when I came down to leave it was still locked up and there was no one around and I had to unlock the place myself so I could leave. Certainly the poorest accommodation I've had in all of my visits to Italy.
Excellent cafe just across the roundabout though. Highly recommended, along with the pizzeria next door.
