Wonderful location. The loft cabin lake house was well supplied including pots and pans and I ended up overpacking after reading previous reviews. Charcoal grill was small but considering itâs not meant for a huge crowd anyways I was able to make a nice meal for family of 4. The hot tub was clean and worked well. The location was 15 minutes down a winding gravel road I was not aware of that. Very peaceful beautiful place to relax and not too far from small town shops.
An older property but pretty well kept. Plenty of kitchen supplies and towels. Beds were comfortable. Felt like we were the first ones there for the season. All decks needed swept off, had to tear through vines to find the trail down to the lake. Lake Monroe was too high, up into the trees to try and fish but we took a few nice walks, played several games and made a few trips into town. Additional notes were left on the checkout list.
Hidden gem! Peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the hot tub although felt could maybe used more chemicals.. ??
The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen could use a skillet. I'm glad we brought one as I read in another review one wasn't provided.
The shower is TINY. I'm 5'6 and the shower head came up to my chest. Served it's purpose but I wasn't shaving my legs or washing my hair without difficulty.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again.
This home was perfect for our short getaway. We walked the trail to the lake a few times a day to watch wildlife, enjoyed the hot tub and loved seeing so many stars at night!
Birthday week, no kids, didn't watch tv at all! Shopping, hot tubbing, cards, board games, actual conversations! 6am hot tub waiting for sunrise with an uninterrupted cup of coffee...bliss!!!
No skillets.no foil.mice and flies.poor water quality so we used up our bottled water.sloped ceilings upstairs to bonk your head.very tiny bathrooms/shower.you could see lake monroe if you squinted real hard looking thru at least a half mile of woods.very overcharged for what we got.never again!!
We had a very nice stay! This is a great house. There are a few quirks about this house, but overall we really enjoyed it.
Favorite things: canoe, reclining chairs in the den, fire pit, good air conditioning units, beautiful drive to the house.
Didnât like: shower is VERY small, upstairs bedroom canât stand up in half of it, upstairs bed was not comfortable, needed to clean outdoor table and chairs-looked very neglected.
Drive to the house from the main road is about 20 min. Itâs a beautiful drive! However it takes a little planning ahead. We would plan to go out once instead of coming in and out. It didnât bother us, but itâs worth noting.
Upon arriving we called to see if we could get in early. Was told the house cleaning hadnât contacted them yet. We waited and decided we would go see where we were going. Got there around 3:15 and no one was there. Called again and was told we could look around. No one ever called and at 4 we went in. Outside had bird poop going down the wall had to clean the patio with hot tub and patio on 2nd floor. I sent an email and was told Din would be by next day. Didnât happen Iâm guessing because of the rain. Couldnât get regular channels on tv only partially Disney plus. No direct tv!! Hot tub had leaves in the bottom which we cleaned out. For the price I really expected a little more. We have rented several VBRO however this one was a disappointment
Great location, beautiful view of Lake Monroe, and nice quiet area. I highly recommend this place because of how serene it was and they had provided everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the hot tub was nice and there was a fire pit if we wanted to have a fire. The only downside is that there is no phone coverage at the houses location for T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T so save the door code and wifi passcode before you start your trip there.
Property was very pretty and well taken care of. This was exactly the getaway my girlfriend and I were looking for. It was very peaceful and provided us with one of the best weekends we have had in a long time. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would absolutely stay here again!
Enjoyed the awesome views every direction. Cabin nicely furnished.
Spectacular stars from the hot tub at night. The quiet was amazing.
Place is dusty , Smeared food stains on welcome book and black chairs.
We had to clean that. Moldy curtain in the funky shower.
Beware of steep step at front door.
Loved everything about the property. One thing to note is we were told the home had a gas grill but it was in fact charcoal. Itâs a 20 minute drive on an unpaved road to get to the property so having to turn around to leave to get charcoal was not ideal.
We had a great stay at The Lake House. The seclusion of the cabin paired with the view of lake from the hot tub made for a peaceful vacation. Only complaint is the shower could use an update.
We loved this cozy little place. The gravel road leading to the cabin was longer than we expected, but the directions were accurate and we didn't have any trouble finding the place. The location is so quiet and it is a truly peaceful place to relax. The views are amazing! After dinner made on the provided gas grill, we enjoyed one of the many board games in front of the fireplace. Our favorite spot was definitely the hot tub, especially in the evenings. But we also loved adventuring out onto the lake in the canoe. We would love to come back in the spring to do some hiking. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Definitely canât beat this place for being right on the lake. Hot tub was amazing. Gas fireplace was great. The upstairs bedroom was cozy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the grill on the deck worked great! Beautiful views at night! Overall one of the best experiences Iâve had with a rental property! Loved that it was dog friendly!
