« Lovely period gastopub right on the river Lugg. Lovely light and fresh accommodation. Food all delicious with a great selection. Their eco wellness spa facilities was a real treat to hire as well, a gorgeous spot to relax in. My wife loved her massage with Charlene as well. Definitely recommend »

« Our 3rd visit in just over 12 months, we love it here. When the suns out it’s even better, being able to sit and have a drink in the manicured gardens. Of course the highlight is the food, simply superb, a little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. »

« The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Parking was in front of the hotel, off the main street. The village had a few shops and a large town nearby. The hotel has a river at the bottom of the grounds which was lovely to sit near. »

Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old. »

« Lovely room. Very clean and it was great having fresh milk in the fridge when we arrived. We ate and drank at the pub too and that had a great atmosphere. The location was great - great right in the middle of Ludlow. Only downside was that you could hear people sitting in the garden of the pub until 11pm. This wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some people »

« Extremely disappointed - spa and pool closed due to building work, not clearly stated on Expedia. Specifically booked for these facilities after a very long drive. Hotel needed updating and didn’t feel immaculately clean. Front desk was a mess. Paid £144 for one night in a room that felt like a Premier Inn room with a fridge added. Stains on carpet, no pictures or nice touches apart from robes and slippers. Sofabed looked tired and old. Cooked breakfast was good but continental had only mandarin...

« Very nice cottage with beautiful gardens. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The owner provided tea, coffee and milk, which was a very nice touch as we arrived very late. Would definitely stay again. »
