There is a sense of magic about this hidden neighborhood with its wooded setting, gravel roads, and inconspicuous exit off the highway. Once you take the final turn into the grouping of houses, you are met with spectacular 180-degree views of a sparkling Pacific ocean. The setting of this house could not be better.
We stayed here with our family during July 2024 and the weather was perfect. The nights were cool, but the fog burned off by mid morning. The path down the road to get to the beach was an adventure, but after the first couple trips, the rock escarpment with rope was easy to maneuver.
The home is spacious with lots of kitchen counters and most every appliance and utensil you might need. There were very sparse condiments so if you're planning to cook, you will have to bring your own unless salt and pepper is the extent of your spicing.
Like the other reviewers have written, the carpet has seen better days, but we brought our dog, and I do not want to be on high alert every time she is in the house, so the old carpet was fine with this dog mom.
The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms were also clean, so no issue there, but I do take umbrage with the mattresses. They are in dire need of replacement. If you have any aches or pains at all, please take this into consideration before renting this house. Even my 21 y/o college student couldn't sleep on these beds!
I would stay here again, but only after the owners make a trip to Mattress Land!
