For 5 years I was planning to climb this Glacier in the Austrian Alps. It has a special meaning for me since it was my dad's dream to climb it, and due to his Dementia he can no longer do this. Last year I the weather gods finally allowed me to climb the 3666m Glacier - it took 2 days, and a 3am start on the final day. The final push required Crampons and roping up with others. The final 100m lead over a ridge that drops steeply to each side, but the clouds were obscuring it. Finally at the top we were able to catch this tiny glimpse of the ridge as the clouds lifted for only seconds. The hotel is located just outside of KitzbĂŒhel and has multiple facilities.
