Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there are definitely some areas that could use improvement. The biggest downside was the comfort of the home. The furniture is very outdated and uncomfortable, and the beds were extremely firm, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We'd recommend adding mattress toppers. The shower heads could also use an upgrade, as they aren't adjustable. The master side of the house, especially the bathroom, stayed noticeably warmer than the rest of the house. The home could also use a little more attention to maintenance. We found cobwebs around the beds and nightstands, and there were several wasp nests around the patio that should be removed. There are no TVs in the guest bedrooms, and the TV in the master bedroom is very small, which may matter if you're planning to spend much time indoors. On the positive side, the location was excellent and very convenient to all of the activities we had planned for the week. One of our favorite perks was the free kayaks and the short walk across the street to the lake. The home includes one two-person kayak and one single kayak. We were hoping for two double kayaks so our family of four could all paddle together, but we still appreciated having them available.Overall, this property has a great location and some nice amenities, but it would benefit from a few updates and better maintenance to make guests more comfortable.
