This is a great house, well cared for and well-appointed. We were a party of six: my husband and me, my brother and sister-in-law and their twin teen girls. The first floor was historic in the front and modern, very spacious in the back. All of our socializing and dining was accommodated very comfortably. Bedrooms were upstairs. Two queen bedrooms have window a/c, which cooled those rooms adequately. However, the bunk bedroom had no a/c, and it was rather warm (even with fans). The upstairs bathroom has issues. While the claw foot tub is romantic, its height makes it very difficult to enter and exit, especially because there are no handrails. And, the toilet flapper broke as soon as we arrived. The downstairs bathroom is fine. Notably, the housekeeper and handyman attended to fixing the toilet immediately. The owner was very communicative and understanding, helpful. Having written all of this, I must say that this home was very comfortable and safe, and the lovely, fenced backyard certainly would accommodate small to medium sized dogs.
