Das Hotel ist eine Zimmervermietung in der 31 Street W 38 (an der Ecke zum Broadway). Der Eingang liegt zwischen einem Weinhändler und einem Bear Donut Geschäft recht unscheinbar. Vor Ort mussten wir noch 7 Dollar in Cash bezahlen, dann wurde auf unserer Kreditkarte ein Rückbehalt für 175 Dollar eingerichtet. Der Flur roch muffig, aber das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Drei einfache Doppelbetten, ein bad mit einer kleinen Wanne, WC und Waschbecken sowie eine funktionale Küchenzeile sind für uns als Familie mit 4 Kindern vollkommen ausreichend. Es war nicht supersauber, aber wir haben auch nichts superekliges gefunden (zum Glück). Direkt um die Ecke liegt das große Kaufhaus Macy's, auserdem ein hübscher kleiner Park am Broadway, die Subwaystation 34 st Herald Sq ist ebenfalls direkt vor Ort. Insgesamt für den Preis zu empfehlen - als Großfamilie hätten wir anderswo deutlich mehr bezahlt.

War das ein Hotel? oder ein Wohnhaus? Meine Zimmernachbarn haben dort gelebt ! Hatte mich zu keinem Zeitraum wie in einem Hotel gefühlt! Als ich buchte war mir bewusst das Dusche und WC auf dem Gang ist, aber ich habe nicht damit gerechnet das es für zirka 30 Zimmer nur 1 Dusche, 1 Behinderten Dusche und eine Toilette gibt! Fürchterlich! Kofferaufbewahrung hat auch noch mal extra gekostet was nicht in der Beschreibung stand! Für 1-2 Nächte ok für mehr nicht wirklich gut! Es war zwar eine Küche im Zimmer dafür kein Kleiderschrank oder Nachtisch nur 2 Kleiderbügel und nur 2 Handtücher! Einmal und nie wieder! Nachtwächter extrem unfreundlich

Unser Flug wurde gecancelt, dadurch sind wir einen Tag zu spät am Hotel angekommen. Ich habe gleich nachdem wir erfahren haben, dass der Flug aus technischen Gründen nicht stattfindet im Hotel angerufen und Bescheid gegeben, das wir auf dem Weg sind. Das wir einen Tag später kommen!!! Dennoch wurde unser Zimmer anderweitig vergeben, auch eine Ausweichmöglichkeit gab es nicht. Wir standen also nachts um halb 12 Uhr ohne Zimmer und ohne Koffer in New York mit einem 10 Jährigen Kind. Leider nicht so gut gelaufen. Der Nachtwächter hat uns einfach abblitzen lassen. (Mit der Aussage, er kann da halt nichts machen) Viele Grüße aus Deutschland…

Der grösste Pluspunkt ist die zentrale Lage. Wir hatten das Apartment Royal Studio 508. Die angegebenen 27qm stimmten definitiv nicht -es waren maximal 20qm, mit einem winzig kleinen "Bad": Toilette, winziges Waschbecken, Dusche. Das Zimmer und die Betten waren sauber. Fenster zum Hinterhof, sehr laute AirCon, WLAN nur in der Lobby. Im Zimmer waren die angegebenen zwei Doppelbetten, allerdings als Stockbett. Insgesamt bewertet war alles okay. Nicht weniger, aber auch nicht mehr!

Das Zimmer war sehr unsauber. Die Klimaanlage war sehr verschmutzt und dreckig und laut. Die Spülbürste war voller Haare. Blickdichtes Fenster konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile. Kein WLAN im Zimmer, nur in kleiner unwohnlicher Lobby im Erdgeschoss. Gemeinschaftsbad war ok. Bei den Damen kein Fenster. Unangenehmer Geruch im gesamten Haus. Freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Rezeptionist. Die Koffer konnten nur gegen Bezahlung (5 $ pro Gepäckstück pro Tag bei im Haus befindlicher Eventagentur) an der Rezeption geparkt werden.

Das Hotel ist ein sehr altes Gebäude mit wunderschöner Fassade, das hat uns gut gefallen. Die Räumlichkeiten werden ständig verbessert und renoviert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht (keine Gemeinschaftsdusche) und waren vollauf zufrieden. Das Hotel hat eine hervorragende Lage und liegt ideal um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden, ebenso ist Underground- und Bushaltestelle in nächster Nähe.

What a bad experience...
This „Hotel“ does not really have a reception or lobby, there was a security doorman who was only able to hand us an envelope with the keys, and nothing more. The room was small and smelled heavily of thick washing detergent. It was not possible to open the window, because they mechanically blocked the window! They blocked the window, because otherwise the air condition system would not be fastened securely. Unbelieveable! So no fresh air in the room. The only way to get air into the room was via that old (and for a long time not serviced) air condition system. And that thing was terribly loud. So either sleep with no air, or sleep with earplugs. The shared bathroom has not really been clean during our whole stay, the floor has always been wet, and there has always been this smell of urine. And (in the mens bathroom) there is only one toilet for the whole floor (there are quite a lot of rooms on each floor). We had booked our room for five nights and left after two nights, because we could not stand it any longer. We would never again stay in this hotel and would not recommend it to others.

Finally, please again correct your comment by saying that you left before the end of your reservation date, while you have used and enjoyed, your full and entire days of your reservation. Any how thank you for staying with us and we are trying our best to improve our accommodation every day to provide a better and more comfortable stay to our guests. Kind Regards

Ohne Adresse nicht zu finden, da das Hotel keinerlei Schilder hat. Unser Zimmer war nett, allerdings etwas dunkel (Fenster in einen kleinen Innenhof) - dafür sehr ruhig, Der Aufzug hat uns Nerven gekostet - lange Wartezeiten. WiFi nur in der (fensterlosen) Lobby

Dreckiges Hostel mit top Lage
Die Lage der Unterkunft ist top. Aber auch nicht mehr! Die Gemeinschaftsbäder werden zur Zeit renoviert und man muss mit dem Aufzug in den nächsten Stock fahren. Bäder oft nicht gereinigt. In unserer Bettwäsche waren verschiedene Haare zu finden. Wir mussten eine Reinigungsgebühr von 89 Dollar zahlen. Nach dem auschecken mussten wir pro Gepäckstück 7 Dollar für ein paar Stunden lagern zahlen. In dieses Hostel würden wir nicht mehr gehen.

Dear guest, we are sorry that you were not fully satisfied with your reservation, how ever, we are renovating our shared bathroom with the high quality of materials to make it more pleasant for our guests and unfortunately these kind of renovation is not going to be completed over night. How ever we do have eight shared bathrooms, which is fully renovated with granite floors and walls, two sinks, two showers and two toilets. In mean time, all of our shared bathrooms, get clean four times a day and all of our rooms, before any guest arrival, gets fully cleaned, the sheets, towels are washed with hot water as well as the floors and all the equipment in the kitchen as well. How ever thank you for your feed back. Kind Regards

We had a few problems with the hotel. When we asked about more toilet paper we were told to ask Expedia. How could Expedia get us more toilet paper? We had a triple bunk bed but the ladders were against the wall. When I booked the room it showed three double bed but no bunk beds.

This was a convenient place to stay in mid-town Manhattan, but it was definitely not the most comfortable. It was very noisy, with very poor sound insolation. There was only one (1) shared bathroom per floor of many, many rooms, and although those bathrooms were newly renovated and clean, the renovations were not well thought out. There was nowhere to change and place your clothes, and bringing them into the shower space was a sure way to get everything wet, because the rainfall shower head was placed directly in the middle of the shower stall. It was impossible to shower without getting your hair and everything else wet! Our room was very small, and that was okay, except that the double bed had microfiber sheets and one thin 'army' blanket. We were provided with two worn bath towels of different sizes. Although there was a sink, stove, micro, small fridge and a few dishes in the room, there was a sign posted saying we were to leave the room clean and do the dishes before we left, but there was no dish towel. The air conditioner was fully functional, but SO noisy it kept us awake. On our check-out day we were awoken to very loud East Indian music at 8:30am, and when I opened our door to go to the bathroom, there was a drop cloth directly outside our door and a fellow painting the ceiling of the hallway. The noise of the music and the smell of the latex paint was near unbearable. I believe that since check-out was 10am, they should have commenced the paint job at 10:05am!

This property isn't ideal if there are multiple people rooming together. There's a very small/disfunctional bathroom with a small pedestal sink and no counter space as well as 1 mirror in the whole room. You have to pay for wifi, each day and the tv MIGHT pick up a channel or 2. Our furnace could not be turned off due to there was no handle. The blankets on the bed weren't even big enough to cover the whole bed, so 1 people can't share a blanket. The front desk said they couldn't help us with that. All in all, i do NOT recommend this place at all and I definitely won't be staying here again.

The front desk staff are not very friendly. When asked questions, they don’t answer with specific information especially when you need bags to be held. Also, they only took cash for certain fees. The blanket is similar to that of a U-Haul moving blanket.. scratchy, thin and uncomfortable. The bathrooms were clean. Nice walkable to MSG - Madison Square Gardens and Penn station. Very tiny room. Bring shower shoes because of shared bathrooms only 2 showers and 2 bathrooms per gender.

The main reason for choosing this accommodation was its convenient location, close to popular tourist destinations in Manhattan. However, I must mention some drawbacks. The room with a city view was plagued by noise from ongoing construction and incessant car honking, which became quite bothersome, especially at night. The bunk bed was also uncomfortable due to its limited headspace, making it impossible to sit upright. Additionally, the absence of a chair inside the room meant resorting to sitting on the floor. Furthermore, there was a lack of mirrors outside the room, with the only one being inside the bathroom. Considering these factors, I have decided not to book this place again in the future.

This was the worst day I’ve ever stayed at before. Nothing worked that smoke detector kept going off every 30 seconds and yelling at me. They would not assist me fixing it. The TV didn’t work. The stove top burner did not work. And I still have not been returned my deposit that I was not told about till I arrived. Staff very rude and no professional in anyway but onstead made me feel uncomfortable and laughed at me. I hated the whole stay and was scared to leave room.

Washing machine didn’t wash my clothes properly and the DRYER did not dry them!!!!! This stole WAY too much money, TIME, ANd SLEEP FROM ME!!! LIAR AT THE front desk is clueless as to how a real hotel would handle this situation and DID nothing about it!! I had to loose yet again MORE money, a night of sleep because I was forced to lug my extremely wet clothes somewhere that had actual clothing dryers!! And that was after they were already in their so-called dryer!!! I hate these lying. thieving, moronic scammers!!! Hope they’re behind bars soon!! 6 hrs of my time stolen because of these low lives, $ stolen AFteR already paying WAy TOO much for laundry, and sleep stolen. This place doesn’t support a proper environment, you’re forced to smell nasty food smells from others cooking!! NEVER again!!! Beware!!!
