After seeing multiple reviews of the property promising we were in for a horrible experience, I'd like to leave a review that might help out travelers looking to stay in the Big Apple. First off, location. These are up in the Bronx, probably a ten/fifteen minute walk to the nearest subway station, not terrible, but not super convenient. The property itself is easy to find, but communication with the staff is difficult because no one is on site. We wanted to check in a bit early, and were told it was more prior to 2, fine, but upon time to check in, our code wasn't working. Called customer service, and after 30 minutes or so, got in the front door, and finally our room. Most of the complaints were about the room conditions. Slight smoke smell, we febreezed it. Beds were clean, and comfortable, and the place wasn't that bad. Kitchen was functional and ac was cold. Bathroom had no towel hooks or anything, but we had enough towels and supplies. No ice in kitchrn or ice machine was a negative. It was a place to lay our heads at night without breaking the bank. Not the nicest place I've stayed, but I can tell you I could have spent a lot more and probably not have had much of a different experience. Be prepared to have issues with your codes, but if you have a bit of patience, it will pay off.
