1 night stay
Stayed 1 night in The Lodge at Close House. Beautifully decorated and huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Only complaint was the fire didnt work with the femote or manually. Disappointing as would have made longe area cosy and warm. Hot Tub was ok but a bit of a hassle opening and closing due to the supporting arm being broken.

Couple Retreat.
1 night relaxing stay. Perfect retreat for a relax and re charge. Only negative for a Hotel of this standard is no SMART TV which is very disappointing.

There are bot many places that provide such a level of comfort and silence that 8 hours sleep is guaranteed (provided you get to bed on time). A beautiful place, great accommodation, service, food and golf.

Exceptional Close House
The accommodation at Close House is exceptional and the beds are so comfortable. The quality of the food at 19 restaurant is exceptional and the service is superb, highly recommended and can't wait to return and play !

Great stay for a work event. Rooms recently refurbished and a really good size with large bathrooms. For a night away with dinner, a great place and would return.

Fantastic two night stay. Breakfast great, evening meal you need to choose carefully was disappointed with fish & chips and the mushroom stroganoff. Service was brilliant, staff friendly and polite. Room best I’ve stayed in for a long time, we will definitely return.

A beautiful relaxing retreat
This was not our first time staying at Close House and it certainly won't be the last. The rooms are located in a separate courtyard building just up from the main building. On this occasion we stayed on the first floor, last time we were on the ground floor. I think the ground floor rooms are a little larger, however the first floor have beautiful beams - both are huge! They're suites not rooms. The decor and detailing are very high end. Breakfast was beautiful. It wasn't a buffet syle as in most other hotels. There was a menu and it was cooked to order. Although we didn't eat lunch or dinner this time we have done many times before. I'm gluten free and have always felt very well looked after. All meals are served in the main building (clubhouse) and have the most beautiful views over the golf course. The golf course is stunning but you don't have to ve a golfer to appreciate it, there are some beautiful walks around the grounds. There is plenty of parking which is included. I would estimate that it's approximately 10 minutes drive to Metro Centre or Newcastle City Centre if you fancy a spot of shopping.

Stayed here a few years ago and it is still a fab place to stay. The rooms are excellent and tastefully furnished. The staff are very friendly and excellent and the food fab in both quality and quantity.

We had excellent weather, but in poor weather the 200m walk from the rooms to the 19th might be a problem for some guests. We had two minor problems with the room which were corrected with no fuss. Its a wonderful location for golfers even if you are not playing at the Close courses. At £160/night B&B it was very good value.
