« Was a little hard to get to driving in and accessing the cabin, wasn’t expecting that, but made due with a longer walk around the “mountain” by the cabin in front the pond. The location of the cabin is wonderful and has a personal gazebo style place to sit and relax or can enjoy the hot tub or a camp fire. The people we met were so nice and friendly!! « The Rustic Mountain Retreat is a small, cute cabin with an amazing view off the deck. My husband and I went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect for the two of us. The hot tub isn’t super private as there is the Wilderness cabin drive rite by the fire pit for this cabin, but it still feels private enough. « Beautifully kept property, inside and out, with views of the Smokies that were unparalleled anywhere else we’ve stayed in the past. The host was very accommodating and friendly, and our family of 4 enjoyed the peace and quiet offered here. I loved the German aesthetic in the cabin, and we all enjoyed the outdoor space the gazebo offered as well. Be prepared to trek up some unpaved roads to get back to the cabin, but it’s well worth it! »

« The cabin was adorable. Please keep in mind it is a tiny cabin, so it is very small. If you are a taller person you may struggle with the loft area. I am 5 foot 2 and had no trouble, my husband is 5 foot 10 and he couldn't sit up fully on the bed. This is not a negative on the cabin itself, it is just the nature of the type of cabin and something to keep in mind. Also remember you are in the mountains. The driveway/ road to the cabin is steep and you may have trouble driving up the hill unless...
