Fifty years ago, our grandfather first came to this stretch of South Guiones to fish. Today, Casa Mabeas is a family-owned oceanfront retreat for families, surf crews and private retreats. Six bedrooms sleep 14 across three connected areas, with an open-air rancho kitchen as the social heart. A/C and blackout shutters in every bedroom, Starlink Wi-Fi, outdoor shower, hammocks and beach loungers. Steps to the sand, across a quiet gravel lane.

THE RANCHO
The social heart of the home: an open-air kitchen and dining space with gas stove, oven, microwave and drip coffee. This is where slow breakfasts, group meals and sunset dinners happen naturally.

LOWER BEDROOM AREA
A relaxed lounge zone with hammocks, chairs and tables. Four bedrooms are located here: three king bedrooms and one bedroom with two twin beds.

UPPER BEDROOM AREA
A quieter area with one king bedroom, one bunk room with two bunk beds (sleeps 4), a shared bathroom and a small patio.

Guests have full access to the entire property: the rancho, bedrooms, lounge areas, gardens and outdoor spaces.
A host will greet you at check-in and provide a quick 5-10 minute orientation. Host support is available by WhatsApp during the
stay.

HOUSEKEEPING
Pre-arrival setup and post-departure cleaning are included. For stays of 7+ nights or private retreats, we include one mid-stay light refresh: common areas, bathrooms, towel refresh, and trash/recycling.

STARTER ESSENTIALS
Beach towels, basic soap/shampoo, initial toilet paper, trash bags, starter coffee and starter water are provided.

OPEN-AIR HOME
Casa Mabeas is a tropical open-air home. Bathrooms are accessed from outdoor walkways rather than from inside the bedrooms, which is part of the home's relaxed coastal design.

HOT WATER
Hot water is available in 1 of the 3 bathrooms. The other bathrooms are ambient temperature, which is common and comfortable after a day at the beach.

NATURE
Part of the magic of Guiones is living close to nature. You may hear howler monkeys and jungle sounds in the mornings.
Bedrooms have window screens, fans and A/C, and we provide practical guidance to help keep the home comfortable.

PETS
Pets are welcome, up to 3. Pet fee: $50 per pet per stay. No pets on beds. Pets may be left unattended only outside bedrooms, at the guest's own risk and responsibility.

Casa Mabeas is located in South Guiones, Nosara: a quieter oceanfront setting with easy access to the beach and a short drive to North Guiones.

A car is recommended. Inside Guiones, most people move by ATV, bicycle or on foot along the beach when tide and conditions allow.
