« Nous avons un super séjour ! Les logements sont géniaux, tout comme les extérieurs ! La piscine est super agréable et nous avons pu voir les singes hurleurs pendant qu'on prenait notre (très bon) petit déjeuner. Encore merci à nos hôtes pour leur gentillesse et leurs conseils ! Je recommande vivement. »

« We did not even stay the night here despite losing money. It was run down, property did not match the description of being on beach but was a long walk away. Beds were hard and there was a dog running free throughout. I cannot recommend this place unless you simply want a cheap bed. The ad needs to properly represent the facility. It's a hostel, not a lodge ,as well. »

« Small, cozy, friendly, quiet....we stayed for a month in the jungle of Guanacaste with Gary and his dog, Wally! The pool is wonderfully shady in the afternoons, Gary is a warm and friendly host, helpful and kind. We were looking for someplace near to beaches, great sunsets, and no crowds....meeting the locals, shopping the local markets, etc. This is the perfect spot to just sit back and relax. »

« This is a great little lodge, near to local, beautiful beaches. AC, hot water and pool, and full outdoor kitchen access are welcome amenities. I had some trouble finding it, but that was more operator error. Gary responded quickly to my questions when lost. Must visit playa San Juanillo for sunset, and Playas Frijolar and Coco are beautiful with a great Tiki Bar. »

« I stayed at Nakanku Lodge from mid January to mid February 2024 accompanied by my little Maltese dog, Lulu. Everything was wonderful! The tropical garden setting was beautiful. I loved the pool and easy proximity to beaches. The outdoor kitchen was so fun as it generated opportunities for community and conversations with other guests. Gary was a super host! Hope to return next winter! Pura vida! »

Nosara : les hôtels les mieux notés

Hotel Boutique Lagarta Lodge

Hotel Boutique Lagarta Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was a perfect 10/10. The service was impeccable, probably the best I’ve had in years, staff is nice and welcoming, always willing to help you with any of your needs or questions. Communication with front desk is ideal, when you arrive, they give you their whatsapp number which allows you to book the restaurant, ask them questions or book your shuttle. Talking about the shuffle, we did not see anything about it when booking, but they have a free shuttle from the hotel to different locations (beach, town, etc.) This is perfect for people like us who don’t have cars as it is not the easiest accommodation to access (doable by walk of course, just a little far away from the town.) Very clean! Food-wise, it was impeccable ; from breakfast, lunch, snacks to dinner. Everything we ate was delicious, with lots of flavour and freshness and quite good portions. It is not THE cheapest menu but it is worth it considering the quality of the hotel and food. We felt like in a luxury dream, even though the price per night was a very okay price. The views are of course breathtaking. We were two sisters travelling there and everything felt peaceful and safe, even when walking alone in the roads or in the biological reserve. Oh. yes!! There is a free entrance for the biological reserve, a beautiful walk of around 1:30-2hours (beware of bugs, but with bug spray, you’ll be good.) Anyways, thank you so much Lagarta Lodge for making our trip this fabulous. We will back for sure. Pura Vida"
