The house was great. Our trip was planned around going to new river gorge and the house was a very easy drive to the park. After a long day of hiking the house was great to come back to to shower and relax. The backyard space was a nice bonus to sit outside and relax at night.

I’m from FTWayne Ind loved that once I got to WVA state had a clean place loved location

Very clean and beds were great comfortable loved that they had all kinds cleaning products but it was very affordable loved the location near gas station restaurant everything accessible

Overall, we had a good stay. The house is older, but it was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was excellent and conveniently close to many attractions. Our host was very responsive and accommodating on our request, which we really appreciated.The main reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the air conditioning. During our stay, it didn't cool the house enough, especially with the hot summer temperatures. After spending most of the day outdoors, we were looking forward to coming back to a cool, comfortable house, but it still felt warm inside, and we were sweating at times. Having a few fans available would have made a noticeable difference. We also noticed a few mosquitoes that had gotten inside the house.Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others, especially because of its pet friendly, convenient location, and responsive host. With a cooler indoor temperature and a few fans, it would have been a 5-star stay for us.

This place is just the cutest. It was small, but we had everything we could possibly need. It was clean and comfy and just minutes from area attractions. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend!

Excellent for Price

Me and my best friend stayed for 4 days and had a blast. The location is 10 minutes away from TONS of trails and exploration, and we had a blast. Very close to major cities and events.

Cozy and Convenient!

We enjoyed our stay at Allison’s place. She responded quickly and went above and beyond to accommodate our little family. Her house is cozy and has cool art. It is in a great spot to explore New River Gorge and some tasty restaurants!

Nice House

This house was cute and cozy - it had everything we needed.We went to local State Parks but it was nice to come back and unwind at the house and make a nice meal. We were even able to enjoy a nice fire in the fire pit !

Great location for what we needed.

The property is dated but was comfortable, we stayed 3 nights to visit Thurmond and the New River. Both were very close by so our daily commute was short.

New river, new me

The stay was good. No bells and whistles, but somewhere close to the NP to hang your hat and get comfy for a few nights. Watched the finals of 2024 euros while at the stay too so, it will always be in the memory box.

NRG Getaway

This property was perfectly located for our New River Gorge family getaway. It was less then 12 minutes from the Canyon Rim entrance and the NRG Bridge and Ace Adventure. It was 2 minutes from a local grocery store and 10 minutes from other foods and shopping needs. It was clean, newly updated and had a beautiful wood deck and patio out back. The owner was quick to respond and very accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this location to anyone and we would gladly stay again!

Great stay, great town

The house was fine. We had everything we needed. I wouldn't say it was fancy but we weren't missing anything. We didn't cook at the house but certainly could have. It was great to have a base for all of our adventures around the state and national parks. The street was very quiet. Certainly can't have more than 1 car but that didn't bother us.
