    The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

    A well-rested vacation awaits at this charming, family-friendly, condo just steps away from the beach! It's well-equipped with everything you and your guests could ever need to spend an unforgettable time together. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony with terrific views, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable.

    Things to Know
    The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
    The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
    Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
    Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

    Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



    Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

    Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Nice unit overall, beware of elevator issues

I loved how well it was cleaned before we arrived, how what we needed was provided for us, but I did not like how stained the furniture was and how crowded the elevators CONSTANTLY were.

Our room wasn’t the cleanest, very outdated , parking spot was too small so they made us park 4 blocks down with 2 young children on a busy road, stains on the comforter , balcony furniture was dirty

Disappointed

Very disappointed of the condo, forniture need to upgrade, we couldn’t use the couch bed, mattress on bedroom was uncomfortable, we even found a dirty boxers underneath the bed, and cleaning was not good . I don’t think I will rent a condo in golden sands again

Loved: the view, place was very clean, comfortable, beautiful new sofa, LOVED the little starter welcome package left for us ( paper towels, TP, sponge, extra) really helpful. The only thing that needs attention is maintenance. Glass balcony door was closed to impossible to open (little WD40), burnt out bulbs with no replacements provided, it would of been awesome if the balcony door had a screen, handle on microwave broken, only 2 spoons. This can all be easily taken care of. The view and cleanliness was well worth the trip.

1.The property needs a proper deep cleaning. 2. No closet to hang clothes 3. Too many emails and messages No need in it. 5. The kitchen dishes and utensils a bunch of junk from a garage sale. 6. Coffee leftovers upon our arrival. 7. Balcony: dirty very old chares. No small table to put a book, etc. 8. Absence of working lights in bathroom and bedroom. I submitted pictures and my comments previously in messages.

Good building amenities, condo needs some updating

First the positives -- Loved the pools, outside bar & grill, deli, ice cream shop, etc. Check-in wasn't too bad, and all 4 elevators were working fine and there wasn't not too long of a wait during busy times. The fireworks mid-stay was a nice surprise. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, except short supply of teaspoons. Now, the negatives --The sofa bed in the condo was terrible, very uncomfortable to sit on when closed, and forget sleeping on it when open as the mattress was all springs/coils. When closed the sofa cushions separated so you were sitting on the metal bar, they were flat too, and the sofa itself was really low to the ground. There is a fire hazard with the dryer - the vent was jammed with lint, so thick it was as if no one ever cleaned it, perhaps they didn't know how as it isn't in the usual spot, but on the back inside wall of the dryer. The carpeting was filthy. The shower was very narrow, a bigger person will have difficulty. Removing the glass doors would help with that. Porch furniture was just 3 dirty plastic chairs that I expected to break but fortunately did not. Giving this condo a 4, as the negatives aren't that important overall.

Room 813 Review

The room was very nice and clean except the pullout bed was so uncomfortable, you could feel the springs all over the mattress, and the shower did not drain quickly which is a problem when you have multiple people trying to get ready. Also, parking was a nightmare and the women in the office were not nice when I was asking for a solution since someone was parked in my spot.

Summer getaway

Great visit overall, despite some hiccups noted below. We enjoyed the view and being close to everything we needed. It was great to have assigned parking. Loved the building amenities at the Golden Sands; great evening entertainment. The building security, and reception desk staff were very friendly, engaging and helpful. The building common areas were kept very clean. Kudos the the cleaning staff. Communications with Vasca team was very responsive via text. Pre-checkin info texts & welcome pack on arrival was good CONS: Things to note, the couch is not comfortable (and squeeks loudly when you sit on it), the hvac unit is loud; always had to double the volume on the TV when it kicked on, but that said, the living room area stayed very cool even with the thermostat at 75-degrees. The a/c didn't circulate well in the bedroom if the bedroom door was closed. We aren't fans of foam mattresses, so we didn't sleep well. It didn't help that the bed was missing the mattress cover and the sheets are VERY thin and kept popping off the mattress. Compounded by the mattress having large lint balls that could be felt through the thin sheets; at first I thought it was sand under the sheets until I investigated. I didn't realize I had a v-mail from Vasca requesting permission to enter the unit while we were out until the end of the trip. If I had, then likely we would have gotten the mattress cover... so my bad. Check-in and out can be nightmare in this building due to 4 slow elevators. One evening we opted to walk up the 8 flights versus waiting for an elevator. Some folks indicating they had been waiting in line 30+ mins to get an elevator due to volume of luggage, beach stuff and family members. Fortunately we checked in late and prepacked the car the nigh before departing to avoid the fiasco. Another item which we didn't appreciate is the building maintenance staff entering the unit without permission during our stay. Twice a worker attempted to enter the room when we didn't answer the door promptly. Once to fix the screen door on the patio, the 2nd time to change the filter. The 2nd attempt the worker indicated he would return. When returning from lunch we saw this same worker in the hall and invited him to come change the filter and he stated "he already did" ?!!? The filter vent is in the hallway and apparently he also went into the bedroom closet and opened the window blinds in the unit. We weren't happy about that at all.
