Very nice townhoo

The pictures are accurate and it’s based on full amenities community with two pools which was nice , you need to pay extra but it was worth it , close to the beach . We would stay here again

A great place to stay overall!

We had a short trip but overall, really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time at Bear Trap Dunes and we really enjoyed the community and the convenience to both the beach and shops/restaurants. I felt the bedding could be a little more updated but that was our biggest complaint. It wasn't dirty pre say, just felt very used.

Great location but townhome needs a little love.

Nice neighborhood with good amenities. The townhome needs some attention - furniture replacement in the master, carpet upstairs needs to be cleaned or replaced , needs new pots and pans needed. Served our needs for a few days though.

Very nice place. Very clean. Per friendly. Good location that is a short drive to the beach. Very close to nearby restaurants and close drive to the other beaches. 3 bedrooms, lots of apace. Back porch and deck area as well.

We had a great long weekend. The property is close to Bethany Beach Boardwalk. There was a concert there on Sunday night under the Harvest Full moon. Property was quiet, clean with linen and towel service. Recommend for a few days or longer!

Bethany Beach Getaway

Property was great overall, and amenities were terrific! Location worked great for us, because it was central to the activities we wanted to do while there. Nice area outback of the townhouse for our dogs to run and play. Neighborhood was great for walking as well and is well taken care of. Inside the home could have been a bit cleaner, not sure how long ago someone stayed there last. Kinda dusty and loose items laying around in some spots, but not enough to cause a stir for us. Only wish we had more towels and washcloths, so we needed to do laundry while there and that was fine. I would recommend this place to others and the price was great since it was after Labor Day. Had it been the in-season price I would Have been a little more hesitant to recommend.

Decent, but disappointed

Very nice townhome in very golf course community; pool, golf and other recreational amenities were terrific. Beach was disappointing; water was very cold; no one was swimming! Townhome amenities were lacking; both dishwasher and microwave were broke, so we couldn't reheat anything and we had to hand wash dishes (not something you want to do on vacation!). Vacasa offered a token refund for inconvenience, which was unsatisfactory. Trip was not terrible, but should have been better for price paid. Price did not equal value.

The property was outdated and filthy. Every cushion was filthy- the carpets were pee stained as were the mattresses. The house smelled like smoke and mold. I left 4 days into a 2 week rental bc I am allergic to mold and dust which this unit was covered in. I paid a premium rate for 2 weeks and the house was not up to my standards. I was a homeowner and had a rental property in bear trap myself and this was the worst choice I could have made given all the other options.

Not acceptable …

The house and location was fine. However the house was definitely not clean. Dishes from the cabinets were dirty and the comforters had blood spots. Nothing like starting vacation with cleaning the house and doing laundry . When I contacted the agency they replied with I’m sorry the cleaning wasn’t up to your standards. Up to my standards ??? lol wonder how they would feel if they pulled back the covers and saw blood spots. Then the gas company came into the house while my husband was in the bathroom. Seriously who just walks into an occupied house? We had no notice and I feel this was unacceptable. Again I contacted the agent and received the same “I’m sorry “. I’m not sure who is managing this property but they should be fired. I know if I was the owner, I would be searching for a new company to manage my rental.

Nice location... Has issues

While the community was lovely and the house itself could have been great. There was significant problems that really deterred from our overall enjoyment. There was a constant noise that could be heard all throughout the home, at all hours. In different parts of the house it sounded like a growling bear or a constant deep buzz. When we informed management of this issue the maintenance person who was sent over for the non working coffee maker, filthy carpets on the stairs, in addition to the noise problem. This person claimed that they were unaware of what could be the cause and had no solution. Furthermore there was a general lack of guest considerations, there were no potholders to utilize in the kitchen, linens were provided but just at a bare minimum for the number of bathrooms and guests, a while they claimed the home was friendly towards little children they provided a pack n play but no baby gate for the incredibly steep staircase.

Outdated Accommodations

When we arrived, the fridge was warm and didn’t cool down for 9 hours. The comforters upstairs had blood spots on them. The queen bed upstairs was falling apart (broken springs) and the bed smelled like musty urine. The one bathroom sink was clogged …and a bottle of drain cleaner was left under the sink (didn’t work). The spray nozzle on the kitchen sink was broken (sprayed everywhere), as was the coffee maker (we had to travel to Rehoboth to buy a new one…the only place open on a Sat eve). Drawers were filthy and, in some, things were left behind (pacifiers, pins, sunglasses). The upstairs walk-in closet had a huge raft inside of it when we arrived, which tells me housekeeping didn’t even open the door. There was also dog hair everywhere - while I understand it’s dog-friendly, it would have been nice not to have someone else’s pet hair all over my things. Upstairs bedroom blinds were broken. Half the lightbulbs are out in this home, as well as no working light in the garage. It’s understandable that there is a certain charm to an older beach house; however, for this price, the house should, at the very least, be well-maintained. On a positive note, we loved the neighborhood, neighbors and the quiet atmosphere. The location was nice.

Nice place but not clean

House was nice but in need of maintenance and updating. You can tell it is a rental unit but it was equipped with everything we needed. Refrigerator was hot when we arrived so our groceries had to wait for it to get cold. Our biggest complaint was that the unit was filthy. The beds were made and towels folded but that was it. Floors had not even been vacuumed or swept. Sinks, drains and bathrooms had not been cleaned. Mirrors were still covered in water and toothpaste splatter. Spills on cabinets and in refrigerator. Crumbs still on counters...I called vacasa and they sent a cleaner out many hours later, after 6pm, who told us we would have to leave for her to reclean...by then I had already bought supplies and cleaned it myself for almost 2 hours so my family could unpack and shower. Neighborhood was well kept and quite.
