Chalet d'été avec vue sur l'eau à Great Hammock Beach à Old Saybrook

Great Hammock Beach location saisonnière avec 4 chambres et 1 salle de bain. Bien entretenu avec une terrasse donnant sur un marais salé et une rivière. Seulement 10 chalets de la belle plage privée. Lancement de bateau privé disponible à seulement 3 chalets. Magnifique communauté familiale de 70 chalets offre des vacances tranquilles, non encombrées et relaxantes. 1 chambre a un lit queen, 2 chambres ont des lits doubles et 1 a des lits jumeaux. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec cuisinière, réfrigérateur et micro-ondes. La télévision par câble et une connexion Wi-Fi sont fournies. Old Saybrook est l'une des plus belles communautés estivales du Connecticut avec un accès facile à Mystic Seaport, Premium Outlet Malls et certains des meilleurs restaurants. Le locataire doit être âgé de 21 ans ou plus.


Location week-end: Nous sommes très heureux de louer notre chalet hors saison pour un minimum de deux nuits. Veuillez noter que vous devez avoir 21 ans et que nous ne louons pas pour les soirées de bal ou similaires. Nous habitons trois maisons et sommes disponibles pour répondre à tous vos besoins pendant votre séjour.

Comfy Cottage on the Sound

Old-fashioned cottage with modern updates, just a short walk from the beach. Quiet, friendly neighborhood. The hosts take good care of their guests! My favorite part was the view from the back deck, which looks out into a grassy marsh and small river, complete with several osprey checking out a nesting platform. Look forward to staying here again!

Perfect Rental in a Perfect Spot

This rental was just what my friends and I needed for a wedding nearby. Mary-Jo and Scott were very responsive and clear in the check-in instructions, and made the stay stress-free! I would recommend this rental to anyone that is looking for a reliable space in a safe neighborhood!

Fishing Charter

I and a group of friends stayed at Scott and Mary-Jo's VRBO for a fishing charter we had in Old Saybrook. We were very satisfied with our stay and the VRBO itself. They even made us homemade banana bread! Would highly recommend this VRBO.

Great stay!! No complaints...

First and foremost the inlet is awesome for the family...we spent the week playing in the giant puddles ..it was the perfect intro to the ocean! At high tide we grilled and enjoyed the backyard! Super friendly neighborhood.. multiple public beaches in walking distance..house has everything you need and nothing you don't to enjoy a quick family get away!

comfy & cozy

The cottage was quite wonderful with a large kitchen and comfy porched living-room. Scott was very quick regarding any communication. The only thing in the description that I would add is that " you'll need to bring your own towels and bed linens". It wasn't a problem, but our airplane carry-on bags only were already packed. We made our adjustments and ended up checking a bag, no worries. Just a thought. We thoroughly enjoyed its quiet and relaxing location.

Great Stay!

Great place to stay! The house was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Made it very easy to cook meals. Our family and two small children had a great time. The hosts had great communication and made sure we had everything we needed! Would definitely book again!

Peaceful and Relaxing

The quiet friendly community, the short walk to the ocean, the peaceful back yard that looked on to the marsh and tidal river, the sight of boats, the walks on the nearby sand bars, the comfortable and well stocked cottage, and the accommodating hosts are all great reasons to recommend this cottage as a great place to stay near Old Saybrook.

Dreamy getaway!

This property far exceeded our expectations. I don't think the pictures do it justice! Spotless, quiet, comfortable, and quite spacious living areas. The neighborhood was great, both private and local town beaches were just what we wanted.

Mother/Daughter Bliss

We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather or a more serene location to get away from the daily hustle and bustle. The owners gave fantastic suggestions to make the best of our stay, and were a blessing when we accidentally got locked out. The banana bread was a pleasant addition to greet us on our arrival and the neighborhood was welcoming. We absolutely loved our mothers/daughters vacation!

Very Nice Cottage

Property was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for a lengthy stay but we were only there for a couple of nights and did not cook at all. TV and WiFi were provided, beds were comfortable, and the location is in a quiet cottage neighborhood just steps from a private little beach. The back yard looks out over an inlet - a very pleasant place to sit in the provided Adirondack chairs. You need to be aware that there are no bed linens in the cottage and it wasn't mentioned in the property write-up. We were made aware a few weeks before our stay and it was impractical for us to bring our own on a long plane flight. The owner will supply these for a charge, but after I fussed about not knowing this up front, they graciously waived the fee. They also provided a freshly baked loaf of banana nut bread upon our arrival. Scott stopped by to make sure everything was in order and was only a few houses away to respond to any needs. Overall, very nice property.

Good to be home

After growing up in the area and returning many years later, it was a pleasure to take in the area from such a beautiful vantage point on the marsh at Great Hammock Beach. Really appreciate Scott, the owner responding to my asking if the property had a fire pit by dropping off a large Solo stove with firewood for our enjoyment. That is truly Great Hammock hospitality!

Perfect getaway

Where do I even start? Everything about our stay was perfect! We were greeted with a lovely note and delicious banana bread baked by the owner. The cottage was so clean and a perfect size for my family. The neighborhood was quiet and full of lovely people. The beach was so close and perfect for my 9 year old daughter and nephew. Mary Jo and Scott are such wonderful people and we can’t wait to rent from them again 💙

Relax and refresh

We had another relaxing stay in Old Saybrook. This was our second year renting this cottage and it did not disappoint again. The cottage is very clean, has beautiful sunsets and is yards away from the beach. We came and went with the tide as low tide is our favorite time. This year we were surprised by some delicious banana bread upon arrival which my son highly enjoyed. If you are looking for a low key and relaxing spot on the CT shore this cottage shouldn’t be over looked.

cute cottage and great location

Booked this for a 6 day stay. Was the perfect size for me and my husband, and his nephew stayed a couple of nights as well. Location is perfect, being steps from the ocean and a short walk to Harvey's Beach. You will need to bring linens, but the property manager will let you know ahead of time. Also, the shower temperature is backwards, just move the handle until it gets hot :)

Lovely Cottage

My Mother & I stayed here as we have family nearby. We both were so impressed - it was neat as a pin & super clean. Previously we've stayed at underwhelming hotels when we've come to this area & we'll never do that again! This cottage was so cozy, the neighborhood was serene and peaceful. and the neighbors we met were so friendly. We loved sitting out back and watching the osprey and the cattails swaying in wind. Our visit left us feeling very well rested! The owners were super nice - we enjoyed homemade banana bread! We loved driving to downtown for shopping and lunch at Penny Lane. Even though it felt a bit remote, we were able to get an Uber if needed which was terrific as I don't even like to have 1 drink & drive! There is a HIGH police presence in this town so we felt very safe and I would encourage you to use Uber too if having a drink. Great little cottage, would definitely stay there again. Bedrooms are roomy & although we were only 2, I could see being comfortable with full capacity. Thanks for a great stay.

A Two Night Stay

We arrived mid day very tired and stressed from our long drive. The cottage was very clean, bright and welcoming. We were 5 adults in town for a family wedding. We found plenty of room for all of us with even a bedroom to spare. We all thought the beds were very comfy too. The wifi worked great which these days really matters. The cottage beat staying in separate hotel rooms giving us a place to relax together. The owners left a delicious home made banana bread in the 'fridge which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed it with our morning coffee. We loved the village of Old Saybrook too. There were many little boutiques and eateries to enjoy. A beautiful little beach neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. Still enjoyed even in October. I highly recommend this sweet little cottage!!
