My stay had many positive aspects, but unfortunately also one very troubling incident. The service from Anju and Abishek at the restaurants was exceptional—professional, kind, and always attentive. Anju, especially, truly stood out with her warmth and dedication. If I could rate the staff alone, they would absolutely deserve five stars. The issue occurred at reception upon our arrival. We were charged an amount for the domestic flight, transfers, and taxes that did not match the expected total based on the official exchange rate of that day. We paid in cash and, unlike all other payments during our stay, we were not given any receipt. We only realized the inconsistency once back home. This lack of transparency was extremely disappointing and left us with a very negative impression, especially considering how well everything else at the resort is managed. Aside from this, the resort itself is beautiful and well maintained: clean facilities, a beach that is cared for daily, excellent water villas, clear water, and varied, high-quality food. The majority of the staff was friendly and professional. Would I return? I’m not sure. The resort has many strengths, but this incident at reception affected our overall experience. The five stars I give are exclusively for Anju, Abishek, and the staff members who clearly work with honesty and dedication.

We had an absolutely amazing time – just the way we imagined our honeymoon! The Ifuru Island Resort made it truly special. We stayed in Beach Villa 321, which had a particularly beautiful beach access with a rectangular layout, allowing us to relax comfortably in our private garden. The open-air bathroom and direct beach access were perfect.We were there over Halloween, and the celebrations delighted us – from the foam pool party in the afternoon to the festive dinner and outdoor party in the evening. The whole staff was dressed up and created a great atmosphere.Ravi from Sri Lanka did an outstanding job with housekeeping, and the food at six different venues was excellent. The buffet offered delicious themed nights, and the à la carte restaurants like the Waterfront provided top quality and great service, especially from our waiter Sandesh.Evenings at the Hubba Hubba Bar with live acts like belly dancing, LED and fire shows, plus great service from Sumit and Chamod, were highlights. Our personal buddy Suaid was fantastic and took care of everything.As part of our honeymoon, we enjoyed a complimentary 50-minute couples massage. With all the water sports, snorkeling, and excursions, it’s impossible to get bored. We did two snorkeling trips as beginners – both unforgettable.All in all, two weeks in paradise – the most beautiful vacation of our lives.

We had a wonderful stay at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. Everything was very clean and well organized, and the views from our sunset villa were absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sunset from the villa every evening was unforgettable. A special thank you to Naazish, who took care of us during our stay. He fulfilled all our wishes, was always available, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The housekeeping staff was also amazing - the room was cleaned twice a day and everyone was incredibly kind. The only negative point was the all-inclusive package. Almost all promotional photos show seafood and seafood dishes, but none of that was actually included and had to be paid extra. The only fish included during lunch and dinner was usually one basic type of fish prepared in different ways. We even complained during our stay because it honestly feels misleading and unfair to guests. We asked them if they would expect to eat mainly chicken and beef when going to a tropical island resort by the ocean, and even they agreed the answer was no. They only offered small gestures to calm the situation, which we declined, because we believe changes should apply equally to all guests. At the very least, the hotel should clearly state in the all-inclusive description exactly what is and isn’t included, so guests do not expect seafood to be part of the package because of the marketing photos.

Tolle und sehr gepflegte Anlage. In einem Overwater bungalow hatten wir die gewünschte Privatsphäre, sowie eine tolle Aussicht auf die Lagune und das Meer. Der Bungalow wurde täglich sehr gewissenhaft gereinigt. Das komplette Personal war immer sehr nett, aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Insel bot eine abwechslungsreiche Pflanzen- und Tierwelt (über Wasser und unter Wasser). Das Essen war ebenfalls lecker und abwechslungsreich, auch unser Dinner am Strand war ein tolles Erlebnis. Eine Massage im Spa können wir ebenfalls empfehlen. Wasserflugzeuge waren ab und an zu hören, sehr selten auch mal ein größeres Flugzeug. Im Ganzen war dies aber alles kein Problem, der Flughafen nur ca. 20 min mit dem Speeboot entfernt ist und dadurch kein weiterer Flug im Inland nötig ist. Dafür hatten wir uns bewusst im Vorfeld entschieden. Das Hotel ist bei russisch sprechenden Mitmenschen ebenfalls sehr beliebt. Der Urlaub verlief so, wie wir uns dies gewünscht hatten. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht und können uns eine erneute Rückkehr ins Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives vorstellen.
