« Jan and Graeme were great hosts. Unfortunately, we missed the wine tasting on the first night, however were pleasantly surprised when we attended our second night. Great discussions and selection of wines. The room was very cosy and secure with everything we needed and the BBQ was great for what we needed. Indulged in a spa on site and again were impressed by the property. Would definitely go back. »

« Merveilleusement bien, vue, spa, espace, cuisine, etc. De quoi laver le linge également. Après une longue route, c'est ideal de se prelasser dans le spa. A 45 min de wanaka, c'est bien placé. Pour sûr, un bel endroit original et luxueux. »

« Friendly helpful staff. Grocery store, 5 min walk. Rental bikes & e bikes nearby plus gravel rail-trail for short or long rides. 10 minuet walk to “Shakey Bridge” (go there, it’s fun). »

« Favourite place of our time away. The hosts were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We would have stayed longer if we had the time. Very clean and comfortable room which exceeded our expectations. Superb team! »

« I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! »

« Room was clean and provided kitchen materials to make breakfast if you buy the basics. Their continental breakfast was $16 each and cappuchino was $5. Dinner was very tasty with a good seafood chowder. White wine was good quality (its Central Otago!) and fair price.... Plenty of space in the room. Hard to regulate the shower volume...always full flow. Comfortable motel, would stay again. Roger. »
