Unfortunately, the condition of the property was not what was advertised on the listing. Upon arrival, there was a blue tarp covering the entire front balcony. According to the owners, there was a leak on the front balcony, and they had tarped it off to prevent rainwater from keeping the balcony wet (forgot to take a picture). They did not notify us of this beforehand. The front balcony was basically unusable. After being in the car for 10 hours and arriving around 8 pm, we had hoped that the kids would be able to run around in the fenced in back yard. Unfortunately, they were not able to because the yard had not been mowed and the weeds were up to their knees. The fence was also starting to fall and I had for force the gate closed because the latch was broken. As we were getting our kids ready for bed, we noticed that there was still hair and/or stains on the sheets left by the previous renters. Closet doors were missing in the room where our boys were staying and there were exposed wires on the floorboard from a broken phone jack. Our daughterâs room was also missing closet doors and also had exposed wires in the ceiling where the smoke alarm had been detached. The evening we arrived, I took a shower and spent the duration of the shower in cold water. The next morning our soap dish in that same shower was full of termites. We also found termites in the living room. Thereâs more that I could say but these are the major issues. We moved to a hotel the next day.
