We were very disappointed with our stay at this property due to misleading advertising and poor communication from the owner. The listing prominently featured photos of a resort-style pool area, along with descriptions of a bar, lazy river, and water slidesâall presented as key amenities just a short walk from the rental. What wasnât clear (buried in the fine print) was that this entire resort area was described as "under construction"âand was, in fact, completely inaccessible during our stay.When we contacted the owner, they explained that the photos were actually from a different resort located 15â20 minutes away by car, and that we were allowed to use those facilities instead. This was never clearly stated in the listing and had a significant impact on our plans. We were traveling with teens and young children, and the resort-style amenities were a major reason we chose this property. Needless to say, everyone was very disappointed.Communication with the owner was also frustratingly slow. Messages often went unanswered for extended periods, and we had to follow up a full week after checkout to have our 500 security deposit returned.Overall, this stay did not meet expectations. I would strongly advise future renters to read the listing very carefully and not rely on the photos or headline descriptions. We expected more transparency and responsiveness from a VRBO host.
