Set on a 120-acre farm just two miles from popular Padstow, this property is both a rural and coastal retreat. Picturesque Padstow boasts a pretty harbour, independent shops and cafes as well as sea and pleasure boat trips. It also forms the end of the popular Camel Trail, a traffic-free cycle and footpath that follows the Camel Estuary to Wenford Bridge via Wadebridge and Bodmin. Venture further afield and visit one of the many attractions this part of Cornwall has to offer, including The Eden Project, Newquay Sealife Centre, Land’s End and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.
Inside, the accommodation has been decorated and furnished to produce a home-from-home feel. Leave your coats and boots in the downstairs cloakroom before continuing through to the farmhouse kitchen, which features a Rayburn, electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and TV, plus exposed beams and a good-sized dining table. For more formal occasions, enjoy meals or the delicious cream tea offered on arrival in the light and airy separate dining room before retreating to the lounge to make the most of the TV, DVD and hi-fi. This cosy yet spacious room is full of character with exposed ceiling beams and a wood burner set into an exposed brick hearth. The master double bedroom is spacious and bright with a TV, country views and en-suite shower room with WC. A double bedroom with TV and a lovely single room. The bedrooms share a family bathroom with separate shower cubicle and WC, and an additional WC can also be found downstairs.
Outside there is an enclosed garden with far-reaching views across the grazing fields. Guests are also welcome to explore the surrounding farmland, which includes a valley with wildlife ponds. Children can also enjoy the outside shared play area between the Easter holidays and September.
