Beautiful Location, Great Amenities — But Felt Constantly Monitored

We stayed here for a family beach vacation and were really impressed by the stunning location and the excellent amenities — the pool area and workout facility were especially nice and well-maintained. It had all the ingredients for a relaxing and fun trip.However, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by how heavily we were monitored throughout our stay. We constantly felt like we were under surveillance, as if we were a group of unruly spring breakers rather than a family on summer vacation. Staff were frequently walking around with clipboards, checking for wristbands, and enforcing an exhaustive list of rules — including being told we couldn’t toss a ball in the pool and receiving warnings of fines for minor infractions.While we understand the need for some structure, the level of oversight felt excessive and out of place for a family-oriented environment. It created unnecessary stress and took away from the enjoyment of our time there.This place has a lot of potential, but the enforcement approach could definitely be more balanced — especially when hosting families during the summer months.

Hello. Unfortunately I am disappointed with my stay Sea-Horsey Retreat. The rooms are dirty, the bathrooms are moldy. I also don't understand why when I paid for parking my car was twice marked as not registered. I had to explain this and it brought me stress during my vacation. And the worst thing is that the elevator door didn't work properly and hit me in the head. It was painful and your employees saw it.

Beautiful property

Very beautiful condo right on the water. The artificial grass on the balcony was a very nice touch. Communication was excellent. Would stay there again.

Best property ever!

We come to the area a couple times a year and this property was the best all around! Gift bag on the counter to start the stay out on the right foot. Plenty of towels provided in each bathroom. Everything was very clean and well kept. The balcony furniture was very comfy and the turf was a nice touch. The property manager reach out a couple times during our stay. We will be rebooking here every time we come to PCB from here on out.

Wonderful place with lots of space!

Beautiful condo with so much room! Nicely decorated and the fake grass on the balcony is a genius idea! Condo is two floors above the pool and was perfect for us. Bunk room, queen sized bedroom, and a king master. We found a hidden gem in a Murphy bed in the dining room! We didn’t need or use it but was so cool to find we had that option! Will definitely book this one again!

7th floor stay-June 2024

Pros: The 7th floor was great. Elevators were at times busy (which was expected) but overall not bad. Plenty of amenities in the condo. Nice pool which they keep very clean and the snack bar attendant was very friendly. The check in and checkout process was easy. Very clean unit. Loved the welcome bag with misc. items to use in the condo. Cons: Only one parking space which we were unaware of and had 2 cars (6 people). Management said we could park at their office if needed. The condo is in a busier location which makes it hard to take a left out of. The T.V. in the bunk room would not work. Management said they would have one to us the next day and no one ever came. Sadly, that room had the people that stayed up later than the rest. The master bedroom needs a new bed topper. It sags where each person lays which made it uncomfortable. I sleep on the edge and kept sinking backwards into the area. We were unable to get the master balcony doors open (not a huge deal for us but might be for others). If you want to put a tent up you have to go to the end of the building. You are not allowed to set up in front of the building so be ready for a walk. The only reason we would never stay here again is the one parking spot for a 3 bedroom condo. Other than that we did enjoy our stay. Hope this review helps.

Panama City

Refrigerator didn’t work, electricity in kitchen didn’t work. Check in was terrible! Staff was very very rude. Got parking ticket inside the garage of place we stayed in! I’ll never take my family back there again. Too expensive to be treated the way we were.

To reiterate our experience: we walked into a condo that smelled of feces and mildew/mold. There were human feces in the master toilet as well as feces in the hall bathroom. We have the pictures of the mold and mildew as well as the overall uncleanliness of the unit. We asked for a complete clean but the two ladies only spot cleaned. The mold and mildew was not addressed. Water leaked steadily from the AC for 3 days before it was ""fixed". We understand it leaked into the unit below us. There is algae growing in the AC area. My husband had to get Clorox and clean the the ceiling in the bathroom, the showers we were using ( only with shower shoes because of the mold/mildew. The unit is rundown, dirty and needs a lot of work. The property management was responsive yet should have known the condition of the unit. We only stayed because we couldn’t find other accommodations

Enjoyable beach vacation

Condo was very clean and well stocked with all we needed for a week long stay. The pools, hot tubs, gym and beach were all well kept. Parking was convenient. We enjoyed the comfortable furniture on the balcony. It was a great spot for morning coffee and a night cap. Communication with the property manager was prompt. The condo would benefit for new mattresses. The ones there have seen better days.

Fantastic!!

We had such a wonderful stay! The condo was excellent. It has everything we needed for cooking a nice meal and relaxing at night. We can’t wait to get back! The beach was perfect and for us and was nice because there is a nice sand bar not far out, so we didn’t have to worry about the water being too deep for the kids. The area is great with lots to do nearby! Like I said before, I hope we can get back soon! The only negative for us was we were not able to get chair service because of a dispute between paradise properties and the chair rental company. I would highly recommend for anybody looking to get away and enjoy a slice of paradise!

Not too clean!

Floors looked like they weren't moped in years...due to us all having new socks for vacation and they were black from walking the floors.. My 3 year old grandson was stuck by a needle found in the blanket to bed... There was a blender on top of the refrigerator that fell off from vibration of doors opening and closing and again hit my grandson in the head and cut his eye...have pics.... Main bathroom was all black mold coming through the paint ceiling/ walls Seals around bathroom shower door was nasty black mold... Our kitchen table was a joke! Seat 11?.....maybe 6.... And the table spilled drinks all the time because it was so wobbly....ohh yea what fun with kids... We could not all eat together at this table...we called office they sent man who put 20-25 screws in this table....then left and sent us a "card table "....really? Pots and pans were all dirty with old food stuck to them....nasty! And the dust...omg! Everywhere! Fan blades on ceilings....tops of all t.v. cabinets...tops of curtains...inside all garbage cans were gross! Under all furniture and beds was dust/food/candy wrappers from previous guests...doors slam way to easy with no door guards kids fingers were always getting pinched Heat did not work at night for 4 nights sent email to office

Fall Break Getaway

The Sea Horsey Retreat condo at Sunrise Beach Resort was GREAT! The view out over the pool deck, up & down the beach and the Gulf exceeded my expectations. We were able to watch the fireworks display on the City Pier (west) from the balcony Friday evening. I was concerned with the elevator service comments but other than Saturday morning as we were leaving the wait time was negligible. I had canceled another condo because I read negative comments about maintenance, management & cleanliness - not a problem here! Paradise Management called me back almost immediately about an internet concern and checked several times until the service tech responded and then a follow up to verify it was fixed. They also helped me out by explaining a couple of items - Paradise understands service.
