We rented the house as a family of four. The positives- 1) the location is excellent, very convenient walking distance to Garches train station, excellent bakeries and shops. 2) The two outdoor areas (terrace and garden) were very nice for outdoor meals and relaxing, although as mentioned in the info, the upper terrace should have supervision for families with young children as there is no railing just plants. 3) The beds are comfortable and the kitchen equipped.The less positive - 1) upon entry in the ground floor, there was an overpowering putrid smell that remained for the duration of our stay for several days despite informing our host. 2) Future renters should note closely in the About This Property description of the nature of the house as a shared space with a tenant residing on the top floor. What this means in practicality, is that the staircase and access to all rooms of the house are shared with other individuals who walk past. Furthermore, only some of the rooms can securely be locked, notably, not the master bedroom. 3) With respect to recycle and garbage, we were essentially told to put into the neighbor's bin "discretely" or leave on the street with days before the next pickup. We do not feel that these three factors correspond with the high price of this rental accommodation.
