We landed at the airport and called the hotel to let them know we would be arriving very late because we still had to drive. The desk clerk said our reservation didn’t exist even though I was looking at our reservation and had the confirmation number, etc. It may not have been his fault but his attitude was sort of, “Welp, not our problem, have a good night.” We had to call Hotels.com for help and got connected to two different agents who ended up cancelling our reservation because the hotel wouldn’t answer the phone when they tried to call and confirm. The entire thing took so long and by the end of it, it was almost 1am and we still had to get our luggage and rental car. We ended up having to book a different, more expensive hotel near the airport without the app because we didn’t want to risk it. Very unhappy. This is the third time Hotels.com has screwed us in some way. We’re going to try other booking companies.
