hotel en bordure du centre historique

Hotel situe a faible distance a pied des principaux monuments. Chambres familiales un peu petites mais ca passe. Personnel charmant. Petit dejeuner copieux, varie, mais c est toujours la meme chose!

Excellent Hotel

Excellent Hotel, desk staff very polite and helpful with travel directions, recomendations, everything and speak very good english. Room very clean, breakfeast buffet excellent with hot food or whatever you wanted, but no special orders. All of this and more. Beautiful Old City, all within walking distance( starts about two blocks away) EXCELLENT LOCATION! I can't say enough about all the good in this Place & Hotel. The best part is of all this wonderful place is the price. You can't go wrong here. I'll be back for sure with more of my friends and family. You can eat in town good price also. Lots of choices and very friendly atmosphere. Walking to hotel late at night is no problem. Safe clean town.

페치의 역사 유적에 가까운.모던 호텔

외관은 낡은 듯하나 객실은 리모델링이 되어 있어서 깨끗했다. 방에 발코니가 있어서 이 도시의 맑은 공기를 느끼기에 좋았다. 특히 페치의 유적지, 중심부에 가까이 있어서 접근하기가 좋다. 아침식사도 괜찮은 편이다. 호텔 규모가 큰 편이라 단체관광객이 많은 편이다.

Patria - Pecs

The room I had was a basic room; I gather there are better or refurbished rooms available at a higher price. Thus, the hotel room was a little dated and harked back to the dark days of communism. I was only there for one night and the room was adequate. It had twin beds, tv, desk, but no air-con. The bathroom was old-fashioned and had a toilet seat that would not stay up because of the position of the toilet.in a corner of the room. Breakfast was superb in a lavish dining-room, easily the best bit of the hotel experience with a wide choice of food. Free wi-fi was only available in the hotel lobby. Front desk staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very close to the centre of Pecs ( 2/3 minutes walking) and about 15 minutes walking from bus or railway station. The hotel did have its own car-parking, though I was using public transport. Probably worth paying more for a better room.

Patria Hotel in Pecs, Hungary

This once grand hotel is centrally located to the main square, had efficient hotel staff at the desk, and a variety offfered in the breakfast buffet. The carpeting is dirty, the furniture worn, and we were not able to access the internet on our laptop and the one in the hotel lobby was not working. The worst thing was that I bit on a small tack in the pastry I was eating! I showed it to the waiter who apologized and took it away but that was the last I heard. There is no air conditioning.

Patria-access to central Pecs; poor conditon/food

Patria is an aging cement block building...towels are thin and scratchy;beds are hard; internet access is not effective; breakfast is grim...no fresh fruit, bad coffee, lukewarm water for tea. On the other hand...location is good for central Pecs' sights and staff are friendly and helpful. We visited in early May, with fresh strawberries, etc., in all the local stands. (Even the Patria parking lot attendant was selling berries.) Canned fruit cocktail and a few dried up oranges/blackened pears were all that was available from the Hotel. We stopped at another Danubius Group Hotel for directions near Lake Balaton. Again, a shabby, aging facility, but very helpful staff.

A bit of a Disappointment

In some ways the hotel is quite good. The location is good, not exactly smack in the center of the interesting area of Pecs but also not very far out, 5-10 minute walk from the real center. Was also easy to find from the train station. The breakfast was quite good. The lobby ok, had a computer that can be used for a fee. But - and there is a but. The room itself was unsatisfactory. It was very shabby, the bed narrow and uncomfortable, the room very cold (heat was turned off although it was cold outside), and worst of all was the fact that the bathroom simply did not function. I do not want to get too graphic but the toilet simply refused to operate properly and its in-pipes leaked all over the floor. The staff seemed to try hard, but the hotel seemed quite a bit lower quality than some other 3 star hotels I took a look at in the town, one being the sister hotel of the Patria. These were classier places. The price is quite reasonable but in retrospect I would have preferred to pay more and get a nicer room.

Great location for city centre

Do NOT be put off by the dated appearance of this hotel - looks like a 1970's concrete block. It is dated inside but the rooms (if ours was anything to go by) are a good size with a table and chairs; a balcony and a reasonable sized clean bathroom. Breakfast could be a bit chaotic - occasionally we had to set our own table with cutlery and food was not always replenished when it ran out. However, the great location (5 minutes walk to main square) more than made up for any shortcomings. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely book this hotel again when visiting Pecs (which is a wonderful city - we stayed 7 nights).

Helt ok hotell midt i sentrum, med god frokostbuffe. Litt slitt, men rent og med en hyggelig og meget behjelpelig betjening.
