„A good location with car parking at the back. Comfy beds, although our room was a bit small. If we had have been staying more than one night we would have wanted a bigger room. The food for breakfast and dinner was of good quality and the staff were very friendly. A large beer garden at the rear and a large screen to watch the football on.“

„Mittelpunkt, um in ca. 50 Minuten York, Scarborough, Goathland, Middlesbrough und Ripon zu erreichen. Ebkenso um Wanderungen ins Moor zu machen oder abbeys oder castles zu besuchen. Zum Hotel - sehr nette Belegschaft und das Essen war frisch und sehr köstlich.“

„A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.“

„Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle“
