Missing window coverings, broken furniture and open electrical connections
Master bedroom and bathroom have no window coverings so we had to use towels to cover them. Master window lock is broken so they could run a wire through it so anyone can come up and open the window and climb in. Couch in the living room is broken and they have put cushions below the main cushion to try and prop it up. There are several wire splices and uncovered junction boxes. Ultimately we just used the place for a place to sleep while enjoying pigeon forge. But a little effort on the host part would go a long way.
Our family enjoyed our stay at Codieâs Outpost. Lots of room and amenities! The dog run made things so much easier, too! Would recommend, especially if you want to stay at a family-friendly cabin near Dollywood. Thanks for having us!
We loved the area we were staying in. Easy access to the Parkway. The cabin was very nice and had a lot of entertainment for kids. Offered everything we needed and wanted in our vacation getaway! We had a very enjoyable stay in the Smokey Mountains!
Every thing was great. Great location close enough to all the attractions we wanted to go to. Still door dashable! Perfect amount of room and amenities!
very attentive owner who touched base after our arrival to see what we thought of the house. any questions/concerns were met with quick response. owner and property management company were great to work with. was hoping to see a little wildlife but only saw birds, squirrels and one rabbit, but that was out of everyone's control. exterior needed a little attention. great location and peaceful except for 4-wheelers nearby. comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen equipment, room for 2 toddlers to play. we normally prefer to stay in Gatlinburg but really enjoyed Codie's Outpost. will definitely stay there again!
Long black hairs found in downstairs bed. Dusty areas. Uncomfortable beds!
Clean bathrooms. Dusty. Unable to lock main level bedroom window. Thick spider webs in windows on the outside. No ice trays or ice maker. Smelled like sewage in the basement. Need curtains or blinds on lower and main level. The couch in living room was worn out. No support. Would not recommend.
The property was nice, the owner very responsive. However, someone stole my car from the driveway on the first night and snooped around the property. The driveway is about a thousand feet long and there are zero cameras on property, even though apparently thereâs been several complaints of local tweakers trespassing. The owner gave me a refund minus the cleaning fee (even though we stayed only one night for obvious reasons). Definitely had better experiences
Overall great stay. House is on a steep hill but is close enough to town and secluded (best of both worlds). Unfortunately there was many items left and not cleaned up around the property and in the house from the previous occupants at this location. The property manager maintained good contact with us and apologized for the cleaning staff. We found a moldy gate, a blanket that smelled musty and some other small items that needed to be cleaned but overall we still enjoyed this location.
Our family stayed here for 5 days and had such a wonderful time! The cabin had plenty to do to keep everyone entertained when we were there. Lots of board games, pool table, video games and an amazing hot tub! Definitely plan on going back again!
This place was amazing, even better than I expected. First, it is huge. With a bedroom on each floor, the four of us each had our own floor, but it could easily accommodate a larger group. We could spread out but had plenty of opportunity to hang out together. The front deck is great for corn hole, we enjoyed the hot tub, and used the lower deck to grill steaks, then sat at the picnic table. The cabin is just about 5 minutes from Pigeon Forge but very secluded and peaceful. The best of both worlds. The management checked in with us and were clear, but didn't hover. Check out was so easy, just do the dishes and take out the trash. We would love to stay here again.
