This property is connected to a sister property which makes for a huge complex. The staff provides rides on golfcarts to shuttle you to/from the lobby to your room/the beach. Please note, wildlife is in abundance on the property. Once night while waiting for the shuttle, we saw at least 20 coaties digging in the grass outside of our building. They didn’t bother us, but it was very scary seeing that many in one spot. We also saw deer resting in the grass, and monkeys in the trees. When making reservations for the restaurants, I encourage you to make them early in the day, the spots fill quickly. The "shuttle" to Playa Del Carmen isnt really a shuttle. The property has an agreement with a taxi company and they charge $4/person each way. Majority of all the staff members were extremely friendly and really cared about the quality of their service! I highly recommend this hotel! One other thing to note, the beach adjacent to the property has vendors- it was a little annoying constantly telling them we were not interested in purchasing jewelry or excursions.

The staff was very rude, we had to pay for dinner every night at an all inclusive resort which is crazy. Also while at the pool eating there are animals everywhere waiting to take your food . Just very uncomfortable

This is our second time in this Grand Riviera Princess resort . Everything is great here!!! ❤️❤️❤️We love this place very much!!❤️❤️ It is always clean, calm, protected, all property is absolutely beautiful…there are a lot of animals on the territory and they are friendly. The food is wonderful, the entire staff absolutely knows their job, they are friendly and quickly respond to any request!!! The area is always well-groomed and clean, the rooms are cleaned daily!! What an amazing resort. It was even better than expected. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. A lot of pools, (huge pools), activities, programs, restaurants. The food in restaurant was unbelievable, delicious, 5 stars. Highly recommended!

They charge you to make reservations at the specialty restaurants, there were LOTS of RACOONS and CATS roaming around the property. One day while i was sitting at the pool, a RACOON jumped up on the bar and took my burger off the bar, the 6000 section rooms are in a very dark, secluded area and a long walk from everything. The staff was rude, one person told me if i didn't like the policy about paying for the specialty restaurants, i should just eat in the buffet. There were 10 of us. This was the worse experience we ever had at an all inclusive/resort.

Beautiful grounds and gardens. Loved all the animals on the property, Walkways were nice and clean, very nice beach. All the employees were very friendly! We enjoyed the evening entertainment/shows. It would be nice for the rooms to be updated but otherwise it was a great place and I would come back.

Resort was beautiful and very clean but prepare to walk. Although there is a shuttle available for the long walks it is not always available therefore you have alot of walking to do. Really enjoyed the stay. The staff were all friendly and fantastic. House keeping kept the rooms in perfect condition. The good was good, though some of the items tended to dry out, being out on the trays. Mostly the meat. I loved the various cakes, treats and ice cream available for a dessert. The property wasn't very crowded, lots of space at the buffet, bars, pools, beach. We enjoyed looking at the various animals on the property, checking out the shops. My only gripe was the bellhops not showing up on time on my checkout day. Fearing missing the shuttle, we ended up walking the whole way to the front from our room with all our luggage. I wasn't very pleased with that.

The resort was beautiful I loved the amount of pools and activities that could be done on site. My room was amazing the downfall was the outside shower it was dirty with leaves from the cover all over the shower floor. I had a camera detector and it detected a camera around the desk where the phone and lamp were. The dining areas were massive and sometimes welcoming. The downfall was the service. The servers are supposed to come over to ask your drink options. I hardly got service. They practically looked away. I had a server set up my table for breakfast without saying excuse me or may I get something for you. Literally reached over while I was eating. I will see them ask the white ppl around my table but totally ignore me. That was extremely frustrating and rude. At the Platinum private pool my drinks had no alcohol just juice. She also ignored me but asked all the white ppl if they need any refreshments. I had to make eye contact to get a refreshment. Either than that I enjoyed myself especially at the Spa. Wonderful experience. I would hope they can work on the prejudice employees. I have to say the best table service was my last night I set reservations for the Mexican restaurant and my server was a 10/10. Also a gentleman from the gift shop on my second day was welcoming and I didn’t feel like I was out of place.

For the most part the resort and amenities were great. 4.5 Great beach but the water was too rocky to enjoy. 3 Most of the servers were great but the odd one just didn’t have any interest serving. 3.5 Sports bar somehow could not stream NHL playoffs. Was very disappointed. Many fans came to bar and they planned on watching NHL playoffs , they simply refused to please the overwhelming crowd that came to watch playoff hockey games for the evening . Most people then just left. Food was at best 3 stars breakfast was good

Staying at Riviera Grand Princess was a delightful experience overall. The staff went above and beyond, especially Felix, who handled a situation with professionalism and care. Our Platinum upgrade was worth it, with a wonderful room and great service and amenities throughout our stay. Martin, who manages the shuttle, was also fantastic. Outstanding a la carte restaurant options, and themed entertainment. One thing to note for future travelers is to be mindful of the living wildlife around; it’s best not to leave snacks and belongings unattended. Overall, a great stay with a few helpful tips for fellow travelers.

The property was all around awesome including the staff. We found our spot at the pool next to the snack bar, due to how amazing the swim up bar staff were. Fabian and Chiero greeted us every day and knew our drinks. They also made sure we were welcomed and very engaging with everyone! By far our favourite spot because of the experience they provided! If you’re looking for a a pool spot I would highly recommend stopping and chatting these guys.

Let me start by saying this property is huge! I had no idea when booking. I truly enjoyed my stay here. My room was stunning, numerous food options and the staff/service was amazing. They have a shuttle to get you around the resort, super helpful. I will be coming back.

Las zonas comunes del hotel están bien cuidadas, los jardines, las albercas, etc. Las habitaciones ya se ven antiguas y un tanto descuidadas, pero mi calificación no obedece tanto a eso, es por la actitud del personal. Creo que se les olvida que su labor es atender y se nota su flojera cuando se les pide algo, termina uno yendo a resolver o a buscar lo que se necesita. Yo tuve que rentar un carrito para mi nieta y cuando lo fui a devolver a cocierge, la señorita no quería ni moverse para recibirlo. Lo dejé junto a su escritorio y me dijo: “ no, ahí no, déjelo de este lado” o sea lo más cerca de ella que se pudiera… En el restaurante pedí una servilleta y me dice la señorita “ahí en la entrada hay…” Pésima actitud de servicio.

I had high expectations for this resort from the pictures of the property and other people’s reviews but once we arrived I was disappointed. The resort needs a lot of upgrades and our room did not looked or smelled clean. Had a mosquito and cockroach problem in our room and some of our other family room that came with us too. The food was not good either , my husband left with food poisoning. Would nog recommend this resort to anyone and will never stay here against

Front desk was rude and short with me. I felt like an inconvenience because I spoke English. According to the description i was told Id get a welcome gift and discounts. I was not given anything. We booked the same room as our friends they recieved gifts a welcome sign discount for massage. I did not want to ask while on property because the attitude each time when asking a simple question. Overall the service everywhere else was great. Very accommodating. Very friendly. Eager to help or seek help if they couldn't help. Overall I had a wonderful time at your resort and would recommend it to friends. You can't let one sour apple ruin it for the rest of us
