On August 23 I made a reservation for September 20 (one night). On August 31, I contacted the host to let them know that I needed to cancel due to a family emergency. They then informed me that the reservation would be subject to a 50% cancellation fee because it was cancelled within 30 days of arrival. I asked if they might reconsider but they held firm to their policy (even though I had only held the room for 7 days and was barely outside of the cancel window. But such is life...They went on to tell me on September 6th that my refund would be processed in 7-10 business days. It is now October 1 and no refund has been made. Also noticed that the property listing was unavailable for September 20 which shows me that they were able to rebook it with someone else.Watch out for this host. Shady and greedy!I’ll be disputing charges now with my credit card company as they are not adhering to their own policy.
