Nearly perfect suite
We enjoyed our great stay in the suite. The interior decor and outdoor beauty of the place were no doubt some of the best we have seen - upscale and creative. The hosts communicated well in advance of our check-in and instructions were clear. They even popped in to check up on us after we arrived.
What could have made it even better: A working ceiling light. The host advised us that they have to call an electrician but did not say when. It didn't get fixed during our 7-night stay and we did not hear about it again. There were other lights in the unit, but the lack of the main ceiling light in the sleep/work area was a bit frustrating. We requested Kleenex when the host popped by but never got it. Finally, there were ants in the unit. To be fair, we did not report this during our stay, but we didn't think there was an easy solution. The place was not dirty so we just learned to get along with our cohabitants. Since the suite is next to a beautiful garden, perhaps it's the time of the year.
Despite these suggestions, we had a good stay. Little touches were nice, such as complimentary welcome drinks and snacks in a very nice fridge. The kettle was elegant and the espresso machine was a welcome feature. We also loved the walking proximity to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and the Max line. The decor in the entire place - sleep/work area, kitchenette, bathroom, outdoor space - were second to none.
