« Arne’s place is a basic, but clean and convenient place to stay. They claim to have beach view, but they don’t as there is a building in front of the place that takes up the view. But it is still very close to the beach and an all the beach restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. I absolutely recommend Arne’sPlace! »

« One or maybe the best hotel with pool at the beach in Arumgambay. The rooms are rather small and basic but OK compared to other places. A fridge would be a nice addition though. The bathroom is also small and basic, and we had a lot of ants the first days (but that is kinda everywhere). The WIFI was "so-so" but that was kinda everywhere in Sri Lanka (better off buying a SIM-card). The service and staff was excellent and everyone was helpfull and service-minded. « There was a problem with our reservation as apparently hotels.com bookings do not transfer over to the hotels system and therefore they had no record of our booking. This meant that they did not have the rooms that we had booked available. The hotel owner/manager was very helpful in finding us different rooms but these were not what had been reserved and meant that we had to separate family members which was not ideal for a week.
