Surf Song, Ă  Princeville Kauai, est une maison de vacances privĂ©e de luxe sous licence avec quatre chambres Ă  coucher climatisĂ©es et quatre salles de bain attenantes. Il est situĂ© sur une falaise surplombant l'ocĂ©an Pacifique sur l'emblĂ©matique cĂŽte nord de Kauai. Profitez des vues sur l'ocĂ©an depuis presque toutes les piĂšces de cette maison immaculĂ©e, moderne et tranquille tout en Ă©coutant le son relaxant des vagues se brisant sur le rivage ci-dessous. Avec 10 minutes Ă  pied d'une plage isolĂ©e, mais Ă  une agrĂ©able promenade ou balade Ă  vĂ©lo (beaucoup de vĂ©los fournis) des installations complĂštes de Princeville, c'est la retraite parfaite. Tant de beaux endroits et plages que Kauai a Ă  offrir sont Ă  portĂ©e de main, mais vous constaterez peut-ĂȘtre que tout ce que vous voulez faire est de rester et de profiter!

Surf Song est centrée sur une grande salle voûtée expansive qui s'ouvre entiÚrement sur la grande véranda au bord de l'océan. Adjacent à l'océan se trouve une cuisine de chef ultra moderne et entiÚrement équipée et un espace de divertissement avec une nouvelle électronique haut de gamme. Deux suites de maßtre en bord de mer offrent des images et des sons de l'océan à la fois des chambres et des salles de bains. Les quatre chambres sont climatisées avec des systÚmes silencieux à commande individuelle. Chacune dispose d'une salle de bains privative luxueuse et moderne avec des sols en galets et des accessoires Kohler / Grohe. Chacun a des portes coulissantes s'ouvrant sur une véranda.

La maison est entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec du mobilier haut de gamme authentique Tommy Bahama. L'ambiance est une Ă©lĂ©gance dĂ©contractĂ©e de style Plantation. La belle plage de Sealodge (`` Un vrai bijou '' dans le guide Kauai Revealed) est directement en dessous de la propriĂ©tĂ© et accessible Ă  pied en 5 ou 10 minutes. (Le chemin est raide par endroits et peut ĂȘtre glissant lorsqu'il est mouillĂ©, donc les chaussures de type coureur sont meilleures que les "slippahs"!). Des services de conciergerie complets sont disponibles; ActivitĂ©s ocĂ©aniques ou terrestres, massage ou yoga privĂ© sur la terrasse en bord de mer ou chef privĂ©. Great view and lovely home!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home! Saw whales from the lanai and watched baby albatrosses in the front cul-de-sac. Lots of extras in the garage made our beach days so much easier and more enjoyable! Wish we could have stayed another week!

Princeville Rental Experience

The house location above the ocean was beautiful. We had a large group for our return trip to Kauai and the house easily accommodated all of us. We often ate at the large table on the deck in the mornings or relaxed listening to the waves in the evenings after a full day. The kitchen offers a nice variety of appliances and cookware we were able to use for a few meals made during our stay. The trail down to the cove below the house is one block over off of Keoniana Rd at the circle. The walk down and the trail itself can be challenging for those with mobility issues but offers a breathtaking view of the Pacific. During our stay an egg hatched to a pair of Albatross nesting in front of the house. We often took walks in the neighborhood and talked with others vacationing or living in the area. It is truly a wonderful location and experience to treasure.

Beautiful House

Property is better in person than in the photos. Layout was great for 3 generations on our family trip. Lots of beach toys in the garage for the kids. Comfortable beds. On suite bathrooms for every bedroom was really nice. Everything we needed. My only criticism would be the hard pillows. I would gladly book again!

Best Vacation Ever!!!

The house is amazing and the views are stunning from every room. The labeling of everything and instructions were very helpful, they supplied all the necessities and were very responsive with any questions/communication. We loved our welcome basket too! The location and neighborhood are great. We had albatross nesting right outside our door (the way they greet each other was so fun to watch/hear) and we saw a couple whales surface at a distance from the balcony. There is a shopping area within walking distance and the views along the way are stunning. It was truly heaven on earth!

We stayed at Surf Song for 1 week in July 2023. 7 adults and 3 kids age 14,11, and 6. Code we were given to enter front door didn’t work- we had to call and leave msg for property manager. They called back about 25 min later and gave us a new code. While we were waiting for the code one of us walked around to the back of the property and found the back slider was unlocked- upon further inspection it does not have a functioning lock so it remained unlocked during our stay. Door handle of door to outside shower was broken and we requested it be fixed. They sent a repair person on our second day. Well stocked with beach towels, toilet paper, kitchen utensils/appliances. We requested directions to beach from property management but they never responded despite multiple requests. We finally found online- Sea Lodge Beach via Sea Lodge condos trailhead. The view was unbelievable, and we spent much of our time outside. Bedroom ACs were a must for July, very nice to have. One washing machine is finicky but one of us had the magic touch to get it started each time.

It’s all about the View

Walk in and be prepared to be awestruck by the million dollar view. With just a hint of the neighbor to the left, it is essentially a private outdoor space. With the living room doors completely open it becomes a vast indoor outdoor environment. (You do need to use the screens for flying insects.) The master to the right has the better bathroom but the one to the left has the outside bath. The en suite bathrooms were great for each family. The kitchen met all needs and Foodland was conveniently nearby. A prior review talked about updating the furniture and this had apparently been done by our visit. However the hammock pictured was only the frame and we were advised there was no hammock. We were provided with a YouTube video on how to get to the bay below. Ask for it and watch it to determine if the hike is worth your effort. We did private massages on the deck which was a perfect location. Yoga is great out there too. The hot tub was large and relaxing day and night. We were here for a wedding and if everyone has a car, parking can get tight. There is no on street parking in the community. The living room gets a bit dark at night as there is no overhead lighting so evening activities gravitated to the large dining room table. We were happy with our choice of stay and its contribution to our wedding memories.

A perfect vacation spot

This is a beautiful home with an unbelievable view. The house has every amenity you want for a beach vacation. It is very well maintained and the outdoor space, including spa, large dining table, chairs and chaise lounges, are terrific. The best compliment I can offer is that we would definitely stay here again.

For this much money*

Pros. Spectacular views, spacious home for a family of 8
on the deck and inside as well. Great location, very comfortable furniture and bedding. Perfect for family dinners inside and out. Ample parking for multiple cars. Cons
 realizing inflation and demand pushed up rental prices, this was an expensive trip for our family. So we expected a bit more. We cook a lot
. So we were impacted by issues that could be easily remedied: New dishwasher: It’s very fussy and dated. New washer dryers: same
 and one set seemed inoperable. Ice maker: perhaps the last guest was a big user of ice
 but the ice maker couldn’t make ice for several days. Sprinkler system: ran all the time for hours BBQ. Starter didn’t work
needed a flame, and the one provided was used up. Grill is so old, I had to take grills off to get the flame to catch. It’s on a timer as well
 which makes sense for a rental .. To be sure, for a family who ate out frequently, these would not be big issues. Would we come back yes
 But for this price it be proper to service this lovely home a bit more often.

Beautiful, Spacious Accommodations with Amazing Coastal Views

This beautiful home was perfect for our party of 8, our 3 adult children and their spouses. Although we enjoyed the vast majority of time together on the gorgeous patio, there was plenty of lovely indoor space to lounge in as well. A/C in the bedrooms was a nice touch although we seldom needed it. The ocean breezes (and sounds of pounding surf) are heavenly. The home is perfectly situated near Hanalei and the town of Princeville, so easy access to so much! All in all, a perfect vacation!

Absolutely beautiful!

What a beautiful location and house to spend time in! The beauty of the ocean, the sunrises and sunsets are amazing from this over the top wonderful home. You have to believe all the things people have written about this home and then think ,”self, add 100% more!” While staying here,don’t miss bathing under the stars or showering in the afternoon sun in the beautiful outdoor bathroom! Or, walking out of another master bedroom on to your lanai hammock to just lie there and watch the clouds pass by. From the endless supply of seasonings in the kitchen to the bicycles, water shoes, boogie boards and surf boards
this house just kept giving! Mahalo Surf Song!!!

The pictures don't do this property justice. The lanai is completely private with panoramic views of the ocean accompanied by the sound of waves crashing below. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. We cooked many meals here and found the cooking supplies suited our needs. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Great Ocean Front Home

The deck and view were amazing. House was well stocked- kitchen and bath basics, more than listing let on, which was helpful. 10 minute walk (ask the locals for the path) to beach right below the house. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Communication with management was a bit slow. I asked about a fan that wasn't working after two days of being in the house and they wrote back about check in time. Fan never got fixed and we were there 8 days. Bedrooms do have A/C, which was also nice and plenty of doors and windows to open. Overall, great place and would come back.

THE VIEW

The house was very clean and exactly as described! Very comfortable for 8 adults & well equipped with beach gear and bikes! Princeville and north shore activities just a few minutes away by car. Sea Lodge beach below, with a small waterfall off to the right of the beach path was a pleasant discovery. Enjoyed spotting whales in the late afternoon! The View is amazing!

Fabulous family celebration in a beautiful house

Three generations gathered from all over to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. We loved the house and spent much of our time on the wonderful deck, where we also ate all our meals. We enjoyed nearby Sea Lodge beach (saw monk seals and turtles) and we saw whales from the deck every day. All in all a perfect, relaxing family vacation.

Beautiful Home

We booked this home in the middle of last year and couldn’t wait to get there. We did see a really bad negative review posted a few days before our arrival which had us a little nervous but it was far from the truth. The location was absolutely perfect and the house was great for our group. We had close family friends and us (4 adults and 4 kids) and the house was laid out perfectly for that set up. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but everything in the house worked like it should. I only wish we would have booked a longer stay as none of us wanted to leave.

Views are worth every penny

We stayed here with two families. 4 adults and 6 kids. It worked fine for us. There’s not a ton of room for luggage, but we managed just fine. The views from the deck of this house were absolutely breathtaking. We also loved the seclusion that you feel at this home. We had a problem with the water heater and the property management fixed it quickly. We especially appreciated all the chairs, beach toys, body boards, and the toys from the garage. It made beach time that much better. We absolutely loved staying at this house and would definitely stay there again!

Not as good as it looks

We stayed at Surf Song for the week following NYE. We picked it because it appeared well appointed, maintained and suitable for a family. Sadly, there were significant shortcomings. Our first indication at the lack of care was in one of the north bathrooms, where the pump bottle of hand soap had been so significantly diluted with water that it ricocheted all over the bathroom. That is both unacceptably cheap (especially for a "luxury Kauai vacation rental", as advertised on the website), but foolhardy in these Pandemic times. The hot water supply to the two north end bathrooms was also very problematic. No one could have hot water for more than 4 minutes. It was impossible to fill the outdoor tub with hot water. When we called to report this issue, we were told it was due to solar heating on a rainy day. What we discovered was a timed cut off for the hot water, requiring a 10 minute wait for another 4 minutes of hot water. This is obviously not tenable for a 4-bedroom property advertised for 10 guests. Worse still, the on-demand water heater in the garage frequently faulted out, worsening the hot water issue. In the master bath, the mirror has fallen off its wire and is precariously perched on the vanity blocking full use of the bathroom taps. To accommodate this, the sink plugs were removed entirely, meaning we could not fully use the sinks and had to take care to ensure nothing went down the exposed drains. The hot tub (which is the banner picture on Surf Song's advertisement) was unusable both because of technical faults and the smelly debris filled water in it. This, along with the hot water issue was reported on our first full day. It was repaired 6 days later. As compensation, we were promised a partial refund, in writing, which we have yet to receive. The very worn fabric furnishings, particularly the ottomans in the great room, were grungy from so much use. A small cabinet in in one bedroom had a wedged door that, once opened, was unable to be closed and clearly not for the first time. Kitchen appliances were extremely worn or broken (the coffee grinder). All in all, it is clear to us there was a definite lack of care as to the maintenance of this property. It is a lovely, well located house. The management company, Princeville Vacation Rentals by Kauai Real Estate Group cuts too many corners for it to be worth your time and money. Makes me sad.
