„Wir machten keine gute Erfahrung in diesem Haus. Das Haus ist süß und nett eingerichtet aber die Küche war dreckig und die Utensilien fast nicht brauchbar. Von schwarzen Essensresten in den Töpfen bis hin zu rostigen Messern. Die erste Nacht schliefen wir auf verschimmelten Kissen. Die wurden nach der Reklamation schnell ausgetauscht. Des Weiteren war das Verhältnis zum Property Manager, der direkt neben dem Haus wohnt nicht besonders gut. Bei Ankunft war das Haus nicht fertig und wir mussten ...

„Great house, good amenities, spacious rooms, two whole bathrooms. Kitchen has all you need for cooking, spacious dinning table and living room. Quiet, very near to Cahuita main street (about 600m away, a walkable distance). Overall great place to stay and enjoy Cahuita.“

„Highly recommend for your stay near Puerto Viejo! The property team is incredibly kind and communicative. The area is perfect, as it’s about 10 min drive from the main town so a bit quieter but still with things to do. It’s on a side road with a path directly to the beach. They even had beach chairs and towels which came in handy. When we had a small issue with the dryer, they sent someone right away. I honestly wish we had more time in Costa Rica just to relax on the property!“

„Beautiful Caribbean style property across the street from the beach. The master bedroom bungalow and upstairs bedrooms have AC and we had no issues with the bedroom without as it stayed cool with the provided fans. Property has all the basic amenities and is very comfortable. Easy drive to Playa Cocles and Puerto Viejo for groceries etc. I would definitely recommend!“

„A wonderful place to spend your vacation. A nice cottage with a great garden. The biodiversity in the garden is in no way inferior to that of the surrounding nature. The beach (Playa negra) is 100-200 meters away. The national park with its Playa Blanca is a bit further away...walkable but a car (or taxi) would be an advantage. As a host, Troy is very nice, helpful and, as a direct neighbor, is usually very close by when help is needed. Highly Recommended!“

„After a busy week touring Monteverde and Arenal, our stay at this house on Playa Negra was a much needed restful few days at the beach. Loved the proximity to the beach to pop over the street when we wanted as well as the relaxing sounds of the waves and ocean from the expansive balcony and all the delicious restaurants nearby. House was clean, beautifully furnished and well set up with everything we needed, even a few beach chairs and boogie boards and noodles. Only thing I hadn’t truly focused ...

„We really enjoyed our stay in the awesome location. Waking up by the monkeys roar we liked swimming in the pool, and listening to the gorgeous sounds especially in the morning. It is not really easy to find. The steep way starts at a little supermarket in green and orange on the right. The road up starts flat but immediately becomes very steep.“

„We loved our stay at Casa Duna. The location is perfect, walking distance to Playa Chiquita and a short ride or drive to Playa Uya. There is a great breakfast spot just south of the property, an easy walk, and a lovely pizza place tucked in behind it. If you want a more laid-back vibe this is a perfect property for you.“

„We really enjoyed our stay in Cahuita. The property is unique , clean and comfortable. Loved the pool. The location is great, walking distance to supermarket, restaurants and Cahuita National park, oops cannot forget the ice cream shop too. Kitchen could use a few small things and maybe a toaster but no big deal. Doris is a pleasure to deal with, had problem with internet on arrival and she had it fixed by next day. Overall exceeded our expectations.“

She was very helpful to us choosing things to do and took time to get to know us to be able to suggest activities. Wish we would have stayed longer at this location of our travels. The walk to town was pleasurable. We loved having a deck and upstairs balcony off the bedroom. The only suggestion we would make is updating the microwave and toaster oven.“

„The house itself is very cool. They layout, design and materials used to build this house are great. We were amazed that no bugs ever came in considering there are no glass windows or screens (just open air windows with wood shutters). When you have all the shutters open you really feel like you’re connected to the nature outside. No air conditioners here if you need that comfort, hence the reason for my review title. „Beim Zimmer hat man uns eines der schlechteren gegeben; direkt an der Straße mit Blick auf eine Baustelle. Ansonsten macht die Anlage aber einen ordentlichen Eindruck; das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Frühstück ist kein Buffet, stattdessen wählt man zwischen zwei Versionen. Der Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar, jedoch erheblich weiter entfernt als die Fotos es vermuten lassen. “

„Es handelt sich um ein Hotel mit fünf Bungalows, die in perfekten Zustand sind und von einem sehr freundlichen Ehepaar betreut werden. Frühstück ist inbegriffen, es handelt sich hier um ein typisch Mittel amerikanisches Frühstück, reichhaltig, sehr wohlschmeckend und alles selbst vor den eigenen Augen angerichtet.“
