« Our stay was amazing, although the road noise in the two front rooms where annoying I guess it's only until the road is opened again on state highway 1. The venue was lovely and we all enjoyed the 1920s theme, we even dressed in period clothing for dinner on the sat night. The house was well set up with everything we needed, and close to visiting the mountain. I would recommend this venue, especially for large groups. »

« The owners are kind and gracious hosts. My trip was more spontaneous, and they did an incredible job in helping me put together a wonderful visit to Tongariro. The bed and bedding are excellent. The cedar hot tub is wonderful after a long day out. Most of all, the peace and quiet was great. »

The house had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, all linen provided, and a cozy fireplace that kept us warm. Perfect location for walking to town and driving to local attractions like the Tongariro River and Tokaanu Hot Pools.The road noise from Highway 1 was minimal and didn't affect our stay. Excellent value for money and ideal for families or small groups exploring the region. Would definitely book...

« Nice place to stay for the night, -- mind your head when you are upstairs. A shame that it's not facing west to take advantage of the evening sun. Even so, very warm -- the fan was definitely needed. »
