« quiet, parking and near city center »

« Cleaners really helpeful, let me check my bags in early in order to attend a wedding a few miles away. Would love to stay a little longer next time. Also breakfast in the cafe was excellent. Thanks for the stay »

« Nice charming hotel close to York city centre. Standard Rooms are small but clean and confortable. Staff is nice and helpful. »

« 2nd time this year we have stopped here, the beds are super comfy, the rooms are clean, slightly old fashioned but in-keeping with the whole pub, a proper pub I may add. The staff are fantastic and cant do enough, the breakfast quality & service are amazing, I have been in 5 star hotels and have a food that is no where near the quality of this. On top of this there is free parking, which a massive plus in York as parking is very expensive and usually miles away from the hotel John »

« very nice »

« Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. »

« Close to the train station, the beautiful gardens around the abbey ruins and the historic centre of York. Enjoyed the owners friendliness and warmth. Felt very much at home. Excellent breakfast too. »

« The property is very central and has easy access to the city centre. The room was spacious but the pub is quite loud at night and you could hear the music until past midnight. You were just given a key and shown where the room was and that was it. The room only had a bath and I wasn’t aware of that »

« Room Comfortable, Noise could be heard from adjoining rooms though the hotel did provide earplugs. Good choice of beers in the bar and the Korean food provider served delicious food »

« A bit of a walk to centre of York and other amenities. Hosts were great to deal with. Lots of extras provided in the apartment to help make the stay better. We enjoyed staying there. »
