If you want a "Rio Lagartos View" try getting to the roof of Yuum Ha Boutique Hotel, you will get a 360 degree view of the place, get there before sunrise and the light will be great during sunrise, take some Panos and take your long lens with you to shoot the locals (fishermen) and the local fauna, if you are lucky you can even catch the flamingos taking off. tip: sunset is also great... The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake. #nature

einfache, aber gute und saubere Unterkunft mit einfachem Frühstück direkt am Pier von Rio Lagartos. Check-In sehr einfach; sofort Bootstour für den nächsten Tag buchen können. Und auch Las Coloradas ist mit dem Auto in 30 Minuten erreichbar.

Direkt am Meer
Die Lage ist top mit Balkon direkt an der Lagune. Die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach aber ok für eine Übernachtung. Bootstour zu den Flamingos war prima! Direkt vor der Tür geht es los.

Es hat uns in der Casa Jade super gut gefallen. Sehr hübsch und originell dekoriert, gutes Frühstück. Ich finde es nur grundsätzlich zu teuer.
